Cardiff City (A) 30.11.2018 7.45pm

Normally one of the easier games for me to get to if it hadn't been moved to the Friday night (fecking Sky) - can at least watch it, but not the same as being there

Aren't we still suffering from Manager & Player of the Month or is there an expiry date to that? Also it's on TV and we're still after an international break (again, where's the expiry to that one)?

The curse is permanent as it lasts until we win a game or the player who won it has a good game then immediately returns once we lose.

Cheers. Glad to hear there's some science behind it :)

Dendonker bombed out of squad .

Really odd isn't it?

Well, let's see how we go. We should be better than Cardiff, but we should have been better than Huddersfield.

I confess to being a little concerned as Saiss was terrible at CB whenever I saw him in preseason, and it's interesting Dendoncker isn't involved at all?

But Nuno had to change something and he has, so fair play.

Saiss looked really, really uncomfortable in that spot when I saw them in preseason. Hope that's not the case here.

-edit- ninja'd

Presumably then either Nuno lied about Bennett's fitness or he's flat out dropped

I'm concerned as our whole right side looks as weak as I've seen it under Nuno.

Tbf he deserves to be dropped on ability. Just odd that saiss is the one to be replace him.

NBC reporting that during the Huddersfield match, one of our assistants very strongly told Nuno that "3-4-3 is not working here, we have to change it", and that Nuno flatly refused.

Will be incredibly interesting to see how Saiss handles playing CB, and equally I have to wonder if Nuno rates Dendoncker at all.

I sit behind the dugout to the left. There is no way a reporter could hear what is said there. Particularly one in the US.

I wonder if Romain has been training as a CB all season? I guess he must have been if we're willing to chuck him in there now.

Well the assumption is that someone leaked it.

Im sorry but Saiss is absolute garbage on the right hand side of the 3 CB's unless they switch Boly over we will be incredibly weak that side with Saiss and Doc as we were in pre-season. Dendoncker cant be worse than that surely. I can see us losing this one.

NBC talking rubbish then.

Dendoncker isn’t on bench because away from home Nuno likes to have a wing back on the bench whereas we don’t tend to for home games. Suppose question is more why he isn’t starting but I guess Nuno thinks Romain deserves a chance

Bennett looked vastly different after he went under Nuno's wing before nailing down his place.

IF since July, Saiss has trained and played everyday as a centre half he could be entirely different from the player who let Villarael waltz past him.

If he's just out from the cold after deputising Neves/Moutinho I have to worry.

We are going to get kicked to fuck and bullied. I get Bennett's limitations, although I think they are exaggerated, but this is the one game you wouldn't drop him for. Hoping that Traore is able to play at his best Championship level against a Championship defence.

Perhaps we see Saiss as better able to step into CM and reinforce the normal 2. Difficult to train that though.

I will say Saiss spent an awful lot of time last season covering on the right for Doc.
