Didn’t see it as a real press. The front 4 ran themselves into the ground at varying stages but only really sent 3 at a time with the one wide player making a midfield 3, that was also very sporadic and certainly not the majority of the time. It wasnt followed up by anyone elsewhere in the team either, literally only 3 players. Most the time Burnley were deep in shape and Saints just passed it around the halfway line until they gave it away, and the times when they could counter it was very ‘Wolves at Newcastle’ as they were giving the ball away under no pressure.

Forster had plenty of options but he has zero ability with his feet so either didn’t do it or couldn’t do it. A lot of the time he was happy to just wave everyone up field and hit it up to Broja and Burnley were happy to sit off and let them do it.

But Newcastle didn’t really press us either and we were fucking shite. So if we play like that again we will lose as they will be right up for it. They just wanted it way more than Saints which was one of the biggest differences.

Boly has done OK considering he hadn't played at all this season until recently, must be some rust there. I'd prefer to stick with Boly, Coady and Kilman as I think that has the best potential longer term and Saiss probably won't be here next season.

Surely time to start ramping up Netos minutes if he's fit enough to do anything near an hour he ⁹ should definitely start for me when the options9 otherwise are Hwang and Trincao.

I'd say the latter if they have sense. Hwang on the wing is a disaster.

It might be raul playing behind the front two. Rauls heading isn't where it was so that might be the reason.

Rauls way better than hwang at linking the play. The only place Hwang is effective is in the opponents box and Raul doesn't seem to be attacking crosses this season.
