I think swapping out both our wing backs in the same game is a bit of a gamble, especially when the two we put in are hardly defensive-minded and we're away...

I admire Nuno's bravery though, wouldn't have expected this from him

Thats a fucking attacking team, bit concerned about Vinagre and Traores defensive abilities, also without Donck and Doc we are a bit short in the heading dept

Defensively Adama is fine aerially. Good leap on him, obviously not known for his aerial threat in the other box. Vinagre for Jonny loses nothing Either, just Donck not being there is slightly more of a problem. If we don’t give and silly set pieces away and play In their half then this is even a problem.
It's not Traore's ability to jump I question, it's his ability to be in the right place to do so. Doherty does a lot of work defending our back post

This sort of side worked against Cardiff last year, we blew them away in 20 minutes and it was game over. It could work again or it could fail spectacularly. The biggest difference between that game and this is i'm sure Saiss and Donk played as the 2 so we had more height in the team.

Thats right, i remember being in the Lych gate with Penk before that game and there was a lot of noise around the teamsheet when it was announced, few nerves with MGW and Vinagre making way for Neves and Jonny.
Turned out alright in the end!

Well its probably not going to be the dour, stalemate with one goal settling it that I thought it might be

Touché. Still, play in their half. In transition Doc is never defending anyway so it’s only likely to be set plays where this is more of a problem as I can’t see us sitting back as much as we normally do.

I guess the theory is Podence playing in the inside in the half spaces allowing Traore to stick exclusively to the touch line. And the fact that Doc has been sub par/needs a rest.

I think the right side of Podence and Adama should easily overwhelm Taylor and McNeil.

Would have a concern over Vinagre up against shithouse Bardsley though

Great to see that Nuno has it in him to shake things up in this way. So many managers would just do the tried and trusted safe thing and hope for the best. Goes to show that his rinse-and-repeat selection style isn't at all unconsidered but genuinely aimed at putting out what he thinks is the best eleven for the job. He's clearly seen something that warrants a creative departure here. One thing's for sure: it certainly shouldn't be a war of attrition. I was thinking while watching the Everton game how interesting/devastating it could be to have both Podence and Traore starting. I didn't expect it to happen quite this soon though.

Well people wanted him to take the handbreak off.

Our back three have enough to keep their two forwards quiet. I guess the idea of playing such attacking wing backs is to keep their wide players pushed back. In theory, we should be all over them. Just need to keep it tight on those set pieces...

Top analysis of the team on Twitter...

Fucking hell Nuno has just got his cock out and has asked Dyche how big is yours!!

Adama's threat is going to push McNeil back the other way too in all likelihood too as we'd murder Taylor if he's left isolated with him and Podence.

Keano on punditry!

Well that team selection has said shit or get off the pot!

The last time that 11 started was on PES on my play station!

That Burnley team....

Baffling how they are doing so well

Burnley in "great form" since the restart despite a wafer thin squad, apparently.

W3 D2 L1 - 11 points

Wolves, with the smallest amount of players used in the league:

W4 D0 L2 - 12 points

Talkshite just gave our side out as 442. Not sure how they could even make an attempt at that from the starting 11. Coady RB, Podence on the left wing I assume

Maybe a bit to adventurous with that side
