I don't think resting players is necessary yet, the squad look really fit, so slight injuries/ niggles would be the only reason to rest players for me. After all if you're in a winning team you just want to keep playing!

Just a thought for everyone: after seeing the weather forecast for tonight (wind and rain), how do you think adverse weather like this will impact on our new controlled, possession-based passing style? Hopefully not too much! It will be a good test for the continental lads in the side to see how they cope with typically British autumnal weather like this.

Gutted I can't make tonight as Saturday showed signs of what is to come in footballing terms. If we carry on like that I can't see us being beat and hopefully we can score 2 or 3. I still think it's a matter of time before we hammer someone.

There shouldn't be questions of fatigue at this point. We've just had a two week break from games (and not many went away on international duty) and we didn't have to do a huge amount of running on Saturday, we had 70% possession and played the game at our own pace.

A lot of budding Zengas around today...

It's not so much about fatigue at this point but managing so that they don't get fatigued towards the end of this month and so on.

Though, as you say we played the game at our own pace so compared to previous years we have less to worry about with that. And also, we have a far, far better management who will have been prepared for the rigours of the Championship! Pretty sure Nuno is an advocate of 'tactical periodisation'.

I think the only changes tonight will be Douglas for Vinagre and Bright for Marshall. I always think you should play your strongest team and I worry that we might get a bit complacent. Jota is still adjusting so the more games the better, I would drop him for the cup game but as long as he is fit then he has to start. Marshall should know better than to say we are better than them even if it is true, we have just motivated them to prove us wrong.

I do wonder if Costa will make the bench tonight he apparently in full training?

I have a bad feeling about this one I predict we lose 0-1.
