Bristol City (A) FA Cup 3rd Round 11/01/25 12pm

We were very sloppy for the last ten minutes. Andre looks a little off the pace. Happy with the rest.

Annoyingly good free-kick.

Johnstone lke a disabled crab trying to get to it, but well placed tbf. Completely unnecessary foul by Hwang, but we've been very comfortable and if they were going to score, that would have been the way.

Will give them a lift and they'll press, so should create some opportunities on the counter.

If this was under O'Neil, I'd be worried. Under Vitor, not so much. Still think we'll score another 1 or 2.

Just hope we don’t regress into a GON style backs against the wall performance

Was a time we could blame that on GON. I blame Hwang and Johnstone tbh.🙄
Ludicrous. The war’s over mate. Hoping we lose even after dominating a half over reasonable opposition just so you can somehow claim the manager makes no difference looks absolutely bonkers.

I disagree?

It's a 50/50 for me, plain as. The levels of contact allowed are so fucking inconsistent.
Your allowed loads of contact if you’ve got a play on the ball. Hwang has no play on the ball because he’s the wrong side. He could have got the right side but didn’t for absolutely no reason. The player was going nowhere too.

Would be especially annoying as we absolutely don't need to; the free kick was their best chance by far and it's not the sort of goal you'd reasonably anticipate they score again.

We keep on as we went for the first 44' and we should be fine.

Who is hoping we lose??
Poor players like Hwang and Johnstone are poor players. End of.

First ten minutes it's going to be hornets nest despite us deserving to be at least 3 or 4 to the good. We could learn alot from Forest on Monday, keep them at arms length and pick them off, they're extremely poor but we've handed them the initiative, don't get dragged down to their level.

Even before the free kick I was thinking the Shirt Seller was looking utterly anonymous against Championship opposition. Fuck him off.

Okay.

It's weak as shit from the Brizzle lad to me; shielding the ball should be a skillset worth testing, not just falling over because you felt contact. You still can't convince me that what Hwang has done there was actually enough to send the boy over. He's just flopped and been rewarded, and that's fucking shit.

Then don't give him a chance to fall over, because you're either too lazy to get round properly and tackle or too stupid to notice that he's running straight into a 6'3'' CH anyway.

Sorry, definite foul and completely daft to give it away. He’s awful.

That doesn't change my point, though, does it. A "chance to fall over" is not always a foul, or it damn well shouldn't be.

It is shit, but that's the game and it has been for a good while now. The Shirt Seller should know that as a professional player but did it anyway because he's got the footballing maturity of a teaspoon.

You're blaming the referee for something that was a foul 20 years ago.

I blame the idiot who can't play football.

It’s been a foul since forever. It’s not even like it was slight nudge. It’s a full on shoulder in the back FFS. He’s not “eased him”. Utter stupidity

It being a foul 20 years ago doesn’t make it less stupid to me.
