If we have to have a scapegoat (and I don't) for that half, and the season in general, you surely look no further than Nuno and his coaches?

I d
We used to know exactly how we wanted to play and we had the players to do it.

Now our lack of confidence and over cautiousness is because what we're trying to do is unclear and the players clearly don't buy into it.

This is the major thing to sort out for Nuno in the summer. We need to find an effective way of playing.

Enjoying watching Vitinha and RAN play regardless
I don’t know if it’s that they don’t buy into it as much as it is that they simply don’t fit what we’re trying to become. Especially our defense.

We're a bit snookered here.

Their attack causes trouble for our defence and is holding the ball up and finding space.

We just aren't doing the same to Brighton, they know their CBs can deal with most things without too much of an issue. Even if we beat the wingback to get a cross in we aren't winning the header. Turn that around and it's a dangerous situation for us.

I've thought all season Brighton should be far higher than they are

I never understand why we pop our striker on aerial threats. Was Raul good at set piece defending?

I'm not sure if Dunk et al not being in the 6 yard box (Kilman and Coady's zone) is just a hat tip to Potter for being clever really.

What is clear is that we need to think about bringing in some players who add a physical presence. A slight breeze would knock most of this lot off the ball.

I'm not sure on the whole young players are mentally fragile thing tbh. Young players are just as likely to be brash, headstrong and overly confident.

Even putting that aside for the moment, if that is the case then the senior players should be leading by example, and the coaching staff should be cajoling and encouraging them - aside from Coady getting his vocal exercises in there's little evidence of that.

The only player I'm not impressed by youngster wise is Hoever. He is no where near RAN'S quality.

Can we change whatever frequency Podence is operating on?

Really no need for the M word here.

Someone can pull me up on this if it’s not a derogatory term in the UK (much like a particular word you guys use to refer to cigarettes).
Not the most politically correct, but I think very few would find it offensive
