Brighton (A) Match Thread

Sidwell (already booked) gets Dadi in the face.... gets away with it. Of course.

Seemingly not creating anything... lets see....
52% possession, 6 shots, 1 on target, 4 corners...

More positive than it seemed like, based on that. Just got to be more clinical (easier said than done, obviously).

As against Brighton's 48% possession, 8 shots, 2 on target and 8 corners.
But we're still in it whilst there's only a goal in it.
Just need a golden 10 minutes of pressure and forcing them up the pitch.

Skalak has his arms all around Cav and now he's weighing him down and then blows up....
And gives the foul against Cav, for holding his shirt.

These refs are really shite.

Shot comes in and Ikeme gets a toe to it and it goes out off the post!

Squeaky...

Cliche, I know, but you really do have to wonder who would want to be a referee. Clearly, it's not the people who'd be best at it.

Stroud giving Saiss a final warning...
Sidwell falls to the ground but no contact made.
Cheating fucker.

They just don't seem to work well with the linesmen. Far too many interruptions.

Wolves piling the pressure on...too little too late

I've long held the belief that refs are extremely inconsistent about what is a foul and what's a yellow. Then following a yellow card, their judgement gets reversed and any little foul becomes a sending off.
Lot of bollocks.
Don't expect Frank to get drawn into that one though.
4 mins left....

The whole institution needs re-working. Better classes whilst being trained, higher pay to make it more appealing, and greater distribution of referees throughout the pyramid so you don't end up with the "bad" ones clumping at the bottom and the good ones glued to the Prem.
