Bournemouth (H) 18/2: Build-Up & Match Thread

Just to add following Deutsch Wolf's example of Bournemouth's coming fixtures,
Southampton's coming fixtures:

Chelsea (A)
Leeds (A)
Leicester (H)
Man U (A)
Spurs (H)
West Ham (A)
Man City (H)
Palace (H)
Arsenal (A)

If they don't get an away win against goal shy Chelsea or dirty Leeds then.... they are quite simply doomed.

This will be the first league match under JL where we are 100% expected to win , and with something to spare . There were others where we clearly were considered to have a great chance of winning , but weren't totally nailed on ( West Ham and Southampton ) .

Will be interesting to see how we cope with that . It brings its own pressures , when the clock is ticking and we haven't scored . The bigger teams win these routinely , but we often make hard work of it .

If they manage to score first it could be a struggle for us to get anything from the game. They played well against Newcastle last time out.
However we should be confident after two wins and I expect Wolves to take the initiative and put Bournemouth under pressure from the off.
Home win I think but probably a narrow one .

Maybe get the ref to send one of ours off if we concede.

Worked last time for us...

Flags FFS.

Great, now no-one can see and there's zero applause when the players come out.

How does that improve the atmosphere? We did it for the semi final, utter shit.

What's the obsession over here with trying to create these ultra groups? It'll never really work as those in Italy etc are absolute fanatics. It'll never catch on.

They are also in many instances hooligans who hold the club to ransom.

Palace is the best example of it working over here tbf

It’s just a massive amount of bollocks. Let the atmosphere grow with the team. We aren’t going to end up with a WV1 version of the green brigade. That isn’t what we are.

So in summary fuck off.

Oh yeah I agree.

Aren't Palace just seen as a bit of a laughing stock, maybe thats just my impression.

I guess it depends what you find impressive. They make a decent noise at home, even in nothing games. Away from home they are the same irrelevance they've always been and just chant Eagles, Eagles every now and then.

I'm not the man for any contrived engagement, goal music, flag waving, organised chanting or bands. If you are Palace do it well

Flag in one hand, mobile phone filming in the other.

The warship sized woman in front of me films before the game for a full 10 minutes. Every single match.

When are you ever going to watch that.
