Bournemouth (H) - 15th December (3pm)

Jonny is available. I'd leave him on the bench though
 
I think so too. Vinagre has done very well so far, and I think that gives us the chance to slowly re-integrate master Castro Otto to ensure he is absolutely not at risk of a recurrence of the knock. I would put him on the bench though.
 
Vinagre has been far better than TWF fav Jonny imo. Vinagre absolutely deserves to retain the lwb slot.

I would be tempted to play João instead of Neves but I don't think Nuno will be!
 
Jonny has been ace for me, but Ruben deserves to keep his place for me. What a prospect.
 
Whether Jonny is better or not would still leave him on the bench for another weeks training to make sure he is completely ready if we need him anyway.

Vinagre has been good & in no way a downgrade, just a different sort of player. We may well be under more pressure from Liverpool in the game after & may needhis extra defensive experience for that game.

Hopefully Wilson has not fully recovered for Bournemouth
 
I will be doing my best impersonation of a gentleman from northallerton tomorrow.
Is it reasonable to assume that this should be carried out in the RL?

Agree, Johnny should earn his place back in the team, Also agree with TT as per another thread that the CMs should be Saiss plus 1. Am undecided on which, as I love them both.

It's an interesting call between the two. Jonny isn't a LWB, never was, never will be. He is however an international class full back. I'd go horses for courses from now on, Vinagre this week, Jonny next against Liverpool and so on.

I have a final that morning, the game starts an hour after. Hopefully I can get through it in time for kickoff!

I'd keep going with Vinagre. He is 1) playing fine, 2) our long-term player as things currently stand, 3) fully fit. No point in rushing Jonny back when we're doing OK. Still have more than half the season left to play, not a rush.
 
Jonny is our best defender imo, but Vinagre is more of a lwb, not sure which I'd go for in this match, which probably means either is plenty good enough......good times
 
Yeah Jonny is pure class when defending, makes it look so good too and he's not that quick or anything.

Loving Vinagre's efforts last few games though. Keep him in and ease Jonny back in fnarr
 
I don't think it's any coincidence that Jota has suddenly looked better when paired with Vinagre. Very harsh on Jonny but I think Vin has to keep his spot.
 
First home game I’ve been to since Burnley tomorrow, so fucking excited.

I’m surprised Jonny is back so quickly but that’s good news. I imagine he won’t start just yet but it puts us in a very good place, we know we can trust Ruben and we can give Doc a rest should he need it.
