He can throw a hat on the shot that led to the goal if he isn't so far off his line.
Dunno about that. He still had a to make a diving save after coming out to the spot and narrowing the angle.

If it had flown into the far corner and Johnstone hadn't moved he'd have been slated for being rooted to his line.

Some players can never win. Tough crowd.

I don’t think so to be fair. Whatever the finer points, you’d expect to find the keeper on his line in those situations.

Depends on how the keeper reads the game and how he performs IMO. I'd expect Sa to be in a similar position but Patricio would be stuck on his line.

He wasn’t rushing out either. He was retreating..

Well Patricio performed a hell of a lot better than Sa or Johnstone ever will do.

It just looks a really odd position to be in.
It doesn’t look. It is.

He’s retreating because he was ready to sweep up the long ball. But he’s got plenty of time to retreat when it was clear it was nowhere near going over the top, it was too his feet FFS and he carries it. He then retreats badly and not down the right line so he’s miles off centre. He certainly wasn’t “rushing out” or whatever nonsense Bear wants to suggest, he was doing the opposite and doing it badly and had plenty of time to be better placed.

Disagree. Sa was very good that first season and commanded his box far better than Patricio ever did. Sa has made some big mistakes ever since though and that has tainted the way people judge him now.

First half of the first season.

I don't mean to sound like a wanker, but most of your football views are directly opposite mine!

Glad we’ve got something to fill the time. OK - you think Sa was a better keeper than Rui Patricio. Doubtless Nuno hung around for too long too. I think we should move back on the game as I suspect there are things we’ll disagree agreeably on!
