Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

Being a Tory MP must be odd at the moment (well most of the time).

Cleary been tasked with blaming the strikes on Labour and loads have run with it. Some managing to do it in spectacular style such as saying people doing things to ensure the strike has minimal effect on their lives is a vision of what life would be like under a Labour Government...seemingly unaware that these things are happening now and Labour are not the Government.

I mean.....

Some proper mental gymnastics going on to blame Labour for all of this bollocks

Starmer was far better at PMQs today. He knew that the Rail Strikes would be brought up by the PM and he dealt with it very well comparing real terms pay cuts for most to the governments plan to lift the caps on Bankers Bonus's. Also mentioned the PM trying to give a £100k job to a person who wasn't quite qualified for the job but happened to be very closely linked to a married man.

Tricky for Starmer as everyone knows what a slime ball Johnson is to the point they’ve already made up their minds, he’s got more to lose than gain on this one. He needs to protect the disillusioned Tory voters willing to head across to a ‘safe’ Labour.

The Tories and the press will be going all-out to link Labour and a perceived militancy. A protracted rail strike may be just what Johnson needs. Labour MPs nailing themselves to the Union mast need to be careful with the messaging. Lynch sounds as though he wants to have his cake and eat it and the public won’t take kindly to a government rolling over to that irrespective of any justifiable underpinnings.

It’s in the Tories interests to force a vicious, drawn-out dispute, blaming the unions and links to Labour, and placing Starmer between a rock and a hard place. It would also severely undermine the efforts of other sectors in their attempts to negotiate reasonable settlements, but in the heat of the battle, I’m not too sure Mr Lynch cares about that.

interesting the barristers/lawyers strike isn't getting the same coverage.

It's a barrister's strike. All barristers are lawyers (as they are all professionally qualified) but not all lawyers are barristers.
That isn't the bite, Will. It's the fact that posh people can strike but poor people shouldn't. Our british joke press won't go after them

I would say there is more coverage of one than the other because literally millions of people use a train every day, millions of people do not use a barrister every day.

but the big question is where is SKS in all of this? Once again hiding and showing us exactly what life would be like under a Labour Government

In his desperate attempts to not be Jeremy Corbyn, it means that he just doesn't have an opinion on anything ever.

I wouldn't say anyone other than Jeremy Corbyn has to try very hard not to be him. He's always been a fringe figure with beliefs way out of kilter with most people, including those on his own side.

It's like accusing a pop star of "desperate attempts not to be Pete Burns".

And yet just under 13million people voted for him.

In a way i was making an excuse for Starmer being so weak willed and having nothing obvious to show what he stands for.

Why do you think Starmer seems to just not really stand for anything?

I’m sure he’d stand for something in writing the 2022 variation of the longest suicide note in political history like your mate Jezza.

13 million. BFD. It was a generational trouncing.
