Birmingham City 2 - 1 Wolves Verdict Thread.

Brentford are at home to Wigan on the last day as well.

I think we'll finish above Derby and Ipswich. Brentford are flying and fair play to them, they should have won 5-1 today.

A highly disappointing afternoon, though it sounded like we got what we deserved i.e. nothing

It sounded as if we were slightly off kilter in everything we did & in this division if you do that against any opposition you won't succeed.

Winning all of the last 9 was unlikely so if we have to have a poor performance somewhere I would rather it was early & we still have time to repair the damage.

Next 2 games v Boro & Ipswich are somewhat important. Will need at least 4 points from those to keep us in contention

Have a feeling next Saturday will be win or bust.

Yeah that's who I'm targeting. Derby looked terrible today and Ipswich are obviously still stuttering and I think we'll beat them.

2 points will keep us in contention.

I don't think we'll get anything at 'Boro, so we will have to win the last three games which will give us 80 points.
Fingers crossed it will be enough.

After todays result/performance I can see KJ & the team being upset enough to get something at Boro. Will make the Ipswich game somewhat critical, but we are at home and we have a good record at Molineux this season

We can still do it, but our players, like Sako, Golbourne & Price are inconsistent. I suppose that's why they are playing in the Second Division, rather than the First. Well, that's what we've got and it will have to do. We cannot seem to hold on to a lead and we ship too many goals, hence our inferior goal difference compared with the teams around us. Two points from the next two games may be enough, but I don't honestly feel it will ultimately turn out to be sufficient. Win at 'Boro and it all changes (again). Christ, this is getting tense - I cannot stand the suspense.

Haven't we kept the second most clean sheets in the entire division?

We were, by all accounts, poor today. It isn't indicative of how we normally play, we have averaged over two points a game since mid-December.

Just got home

Our performance was flat but I think the shocking pitch had a part to play in that. Not one player could dribble properly which ruled Sako out of the game. We couldn't play our usual slick passing football. Blues tactics were lump it to Donaldson so he could hold it, and it worked well.
I'm worried as we lacked drive, we almost look burnt out. Not sure if its fatigue or whether conditions played a part in that.

Ikeme was being fouled for their first, Golbourne messed up for their second. Price the only stand out player

That pitch was a carpet exton. No excuses today.

Needed to keep the lead for longer than we did - having got in front needed 20 mins to quieten them down, giving up an equaliser 4 mins later did not help

Golbourne inconsistent? You serious?

One poor performance and he should be dropped Lycan?

I wouldn't have Hause anywhere near left back unless we're forced to do that. He is not a full back. However next season I would like to see him alongside Stearman - I have a lot of time for Danny Batth but I just think Hause has more in his locker.

It's not like SG to make a bad mistake, he is very consistent. But then again he is human.

I think it was just a bad day at the office, put it to bed move on quickly. Just a pity we didn't get a chance to play blues with clueless Clarke in charge at the start of the season.
