Bellend commentators

Russell Martin in the Sky studio, hope for Gary O'Neil yet.

going to appeal

Apparently less than happy that the letter he asked his wife to write saying it was all an accident hasn’t cleared his name.

Oh good 90 minutes of non objective commentary

Eni Aluko having a pop at Ian Wright for appearing on women's football coverage.

1) That man is a national treasure, take his name out of your fucking mouth

2) He increases visibility for your game, you fool. And he obviously cares FFS

3) Maybe you don't get as much work as before as you're evidently a fucking idiot and not so long back went on national radio making up ridiculous stories about being a DoF and putting in fake bids all the time. Just a thought

4) Tory cunt

She comes across as a toxic character who you’d avoid to get into conversation with.
Lots of “woe me” victim card rhetoric also.
As most have said Ian Wright involvement in women’s football punditry is a force for good and if you think otherwise it’s a bit of cutting of your nose to spite your own face.
Pretty sure she made a comment about football grounds being unsafe for women.

She’s talking bollocks, apart from Dave Jones, David Prutton and Chappers covering the EFL cup, Sky, TNT sports and Amazon Prime have female presenters for their football coverage.

I think broadcasters keep using her because she's capable of making clear points about tactics (I remember Evra somewhat patronisingly nodding along in agreement with some of her tactical analysis) and she's got a legal background so they seem convinced she's bright.

The issue is that there's something quite bizarre about some of her views and she says some really odd things. She reminds me a little of Sol Campbell - someone who appears articulate, but is ultimately really quite strange. Ironically, Joey Barton once fell into this camp (remember him appearing on Question Time!), until he decided to take the shackles off and go full batshit.

Criticising Ian Wright for taking up a woman's job when he's been a champion of the woman's game is just plain idiotic. Ian Wright providing punditry on women's football helps to put treatment of the women's game on equal footing in the eyes of people who might otherwise dismiss it as not real football. No one asked him to do that - he's genuinely passionate about it. He will have turned otherwise sceptical people onto the women's game in a way that no female pundit could have done. It's just such a shit point from Aluko.
