Bellend commentators

Bumping this thread because I want to rant about Mark Lawrenson again. I can't remember the last time a commentator got on my nerves as much as he did last night, wise crack after wise crack - none of which were in any way wise. Easily the worst I've heard in the tournament so far, which considering I've also had the 'pleasure' of listening to Glenn Hoddle is no mean feat.

Why the hell is he still being employed???!

It really was a dream team of him and Pearce for the Ireland Sweden match. Hopefully neither of will be anywhere near our matches!

I don't like Pearce much but I don't hate him as much as others seem to. Though I totally get why people feel that way about him! He's not a good match up with Lawrenson though as he laughs at his attempts at humour. Which in itself should be a sackable offence.

Hoddle is already pissing me off no end. Such a belmer of the highest proportions.

Hoddle appears to omnipresent in Itv's coverage as well. I think he has been on every one of their broadcasts so far, I did miss the Spain game though.

I actually quite like Lawro...his miserably outlook amuses me.
Can see why he may grate on people though.

To be honest, I don't mind most commentators.
Exceptions to this rule are Robbie Savage for being a biased moron, and Hoddle for just being wrong in nearly everything he says.

I can forgive both Savage and Armstrong for being biased in their first game in a major tournament for decades TBH. Anyway, I'm one of the few people who actually likes Robbie Savage!

I can sort of see the case for liking Savage as a pundit (I don't, but I can see why you might) but he is an objectively awful co-commentator. Stop roaring into the microphone you idiot.

There is a feature on MOTD facebook page with 'Our Deano' doing his all-time England and Wales 5 a side team. He started this all-time side with David James

Whole side read - David James, John Barnes, Ryan Giggs, Gary Speed, Ian Rush - playing the famous 0-3-1 formation

All Time England and Wales 5 a side team...

Gordon Banks, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Bryan Robson, Gary Linaker (or Greavsie, or Shearer or Ivor Allchurch!)

I would have Gazza in any 5 a side team

Ah, Tyldesley and Hoddle. If they were a food, they'd be cunt soup with extra olives.

You can just tell that Clive has got some witty pun lined up for when France score.

And Hoddle is just walking cuntery.

hmmm

Albanian meets a corner with a good shot. French defender blocks it for a corner.

So Clive and Glenn how is that a "he must do better moment"?

Twats

I couldn't believe what they were saying!

Pleased that Clive is as consistently inconsistent as ever.

Is it Pogba or Pog-Bar, Clive? You keep changing your mind.
