Never been a huge fan of the Belgian winter/Christmas beers, although to be fair I don't think I've had many bottled as they've usually been on tap, either here or in Belgium.

I do have a bottle of Avec Les Bons Voeux knocking around, which was originally a seasonal new year beer but got popular enough for them to brew it all year around.

Just back from a couple of days in the Peaks and opened a bottle I brought back.

I wonder if your tastes and opinions are sometimes influenced by your mood and ambience, but am basking in the glow of a cracking few days, the renewed belief after two fantastic wins under VP, and with the wife being a member at Spurs the shared spoils today seemed to round things off nicely.

Can’t believe how things have turned around so quickly and the beer tastes very good indeed. Cheers Vitor
