Nuno has not said to Saiss, if you have 20 passes 15 of them should go to a Villa Player.
Nuno has not said to Dendonker give the ball away and half arse your way round the pitch
Neither has he told Traore to fuck about and lose the ball every time he has it

Tonight its got nothing to do with set up, personnel or even slow starting, we're absolutely garbage at passing the ball, never get it into a shooting position and give it away easy in dangerous areas. Moutinho is having a mare, probably Semedo's worst game in a while.....if Traore isn't going to run with the ball or dribble, whats the point him being on the pitch

Very little movement off the ball makes keeping possession very difficult if you are outnumbered in the midfield to start with. All comes down to CHs being poor and needing 3 of them and even then having to protect them with Neves and Moutinho sitting deep. Currently watching us is only a step up from sticking pins in your eyes.

it is the mindset we go out to every game, first half is always shit, park the bus, try to defend, have no game plan to cut through their midfield lines with passes, it is just hoofs or lean on Neto or Traore to run with the ball and maybe something will happen

Misplacing passes isn’t tactics. The players performances AND the tactics are both absolutely shit.

But even if you changed the tactics, the shit passing would still be an issue. We can't complete one at 5 yards at the minute. It's lazy.

Only once have I thought WTF Jose and thats when he was standing with Traore instead of getting in the box

Not at all. Passing 5 yards is basics at this level, heck any level. He doesn't control that.
