Arsenal (A) 28/12/2021 12.30pm Build Up & Match Thread

FFS.

Do "bubbles" still exist? I see from Neves social media he's had a coach party around for Christmas and most of them have had a professional cameraman round their houses for their Instagram snaps.
Obviously bubbles don't exist for ANYONE at the moment. The only way to stop players getting infected is to put them in bubbles so they don't come into contact with anyone else. Whilst nothing changes players will continue to get infected.

I sincerely doubt that will happen, whether it should is a matter of opinion.

If any normal employer asked their staff to not see anyone outside of work in case they caught covid they'd get laughed out of the room.

Very disappointing but given amount of games postponed today hardly surprising.

Of course, all I'm saying is that we'll continue to see postponements until something changes.

Well given you can catch it multiple times then it will never end. Just get on with it.

If football players are unvaccinated and worried about the risks to them or their families then don’t play or train (doubt there’s a single one who is worried and unvaccinated).

The easiest answer is to stop testing them if they don't have symptoms but that won't happen. There will be a point soon where teams are playing 4/5 games in a 10 day period as this season has no flexibility.

You can get it multiple times
You can infect others although "fully vaxed"
It often produces no symptoms
The fully vaxed get it
Vaxes wain after a few months
Fourth vax and more potentially weaken immunity to Covid

How to go on?

Sounds like the flu...

I did have a little chuckle at some of the comments in the Watford thread when it was their fault. Calls for us to have the three points because they couldn’t fulfil their duties. Now it’s our fault, do people think the same…?

I think we should play some of the U23s and fulfill the fixture, yes.

Of course

I might be wrong but I thought Watford players had to isolate due to contact rather than them being infected?

Like I said, I'm probably wrong.

The joys of non-refundable train tickets. Can’t plan and save in advance at all anymore. There’s a good chance if it’s a midweek rearranged fixture I won’t be able to attend.

I feel exactly the same as I did then. Giving points is stupid when there are players at the club that can play the match.

This is what they're doing in the NFL now, eventually they'll have to take a similar decision as the money-makers involved will withdraw the finance when the games they're paying for to show on tv aren't being played.
