Arsenal fans were going wild about THE CONSPIRACY (been ongoing for 20+ years now apparently) when Martinelli got sent off at Molineux. Er, wat? You couldn't get two more obvious bookings. Not the ref's fault he pulled them both out inside 30 seconds, obviously a red card.

In all seriousness he should be on the bench, he's playing regularly and in our PL squad by default, clearly isn't being an arse or they wouldn't let him be with the kids.

Apparently he's just put his head down and got on with it. Which is absolutely brilliant from a professionalism point of view.

Such a shame that the constant injuries have completely stalled his progress.

Next 4 games after Saturday are huge , home to Burnley , Forest and Chelsea and away to the Hammers .

Pretty hard to see us getting anything on Saturday , but a good performance would be a help . Our suspended players will be back for the next 4 , but not RAN or Neto .
Our subs bench should be interesting .
Leave Hwang up top on his own and pack the midfield .

Did you watch the PSG v Newcastle match midweek? It was just wave after wave of PSG attacks, Newcastle clinging on for dear life, PSG fans appealing for everything, PSG players surrounding the referee at every opportunity. It takes a strong referee to block all that out and call things fairly - and even this referee (one of the best in the world) - ended up buckling and giving a ridiculous penalty right at the death.

That’s what I mean, when I say they’ll find a way. If one of the best in the world buckles under pressure, we’ve got no hope with the spineless, incompetent twats we have running our game here.

Who’s even reffing our game this weekend? Just looked - it’s Peter Bankes. *sigh*

Maybe it’s just me but I’d be less likely to give anything in that situation - more likely that I’d not give a valid penalty due to the amount of crying about every non decision up to that point

I'd love to see a ref, after the 1st instance of crowding, stop the game, call the two captains over, "Anyone wants to discuss the decision, the captain comes to me to discuss. Only the captain. I will not tolerate several players haranguing me. Is that clear? And by the way, this is it, I wont be having this conversation again, Go and tell your team, I'll give you 30 seconds. Off you go and play on."
The very next time crowd round, I'd book the lot of them. And again and again.
That sort of pressure is intolerable. Aggressive and very unsporting.

I don’t think anyone had been sent off for the same thing before, and I’m certain no one has been sent off for the same thing since. So the ref literally made it up on the day. And that wasn’t even this season!
