Nicked this off Judah.
No ifs, buts or maybes. What you think will happen as of today, be that spend £100m or nothing, the new manager being a genius, a dud or anything in between. Your view, head over heart.

Can't see it - just too late.

We will probably make a couple of belated signings in January and the new manager (I assume it will be Vitor Pereira) looks a marked improvement on GON; but the gap will be too big especially as we have a very difficult run of fixtures in January/February.

Very tight, head took some convincing but I think we'll just squeak it over Leicester by a tiny bit of quality in the end.

Heart is definitely riding in the Vitor Van already

Heart will always rule the head - sure we're not even half way through the season ! ( that's my heart speaking by the way ) .

It's less about what we can do and as much about what others can achieve. I think we can get ourselves above Ipswich. Beyond that I struggle to see any one of those teams dropping enough points for us to get out of the bottom three.

No. I'd say the chances of survival are around 5%, no matter on who the manager is. The players are shot mentally, the squad is fragmented with fighting amongst themselves, the defence is terrible, and we have no serviceable PL quality goalkeeper. There are some things a new manager can improve quickly, there are some that can't be changed in time to make a difference IMO.

And then there's a question of whether Fosun will make some transfers happen, and whether we can bring in enough quality players who are willing to join a relegation battle. Which is questionable.

I think we are doomed to Championship football next season.

I think there's enough in the team to keep us up, it just needs a good manager which hopefully the new guy will be.

Nope.
Too late. Expect January to be much like the summer, but perhaps with a bit more of a Mendes flavour, but expect we will be too far adrift even if improvements are made to the squad.

I have absolutely no idea if the new guy will be any good or not but I guess I'm an optimist.

Beat Leicester and we are potentially only 2 points from safety. We do have some quality in our squad so you would think any manager with a bit of self belief would back themselves to get us out of this mess.

Alternatively, it all goes to shit and VP is looking to add to his bloated CV again in the summer.

I just can't see it, we've wasted so many games recently where we should have been looking at picking up points. Come the end of Feb I can see us being 7/8 points off safety with the fixtures over the horizon

Could see Cunha leaving in January too, final nail in the coffin.

I said on the Vitor thread that we absolutely cannot lose on Sunday. No RAN, I'm expecting no Cunha and the rest of the cast being the same I just can't see it. At that point I think we are in too deep.

We need the new bloke to get quite the bounce and it has to start with beating Leicester. We will also need to win at Portman Road and beat Everton and Southampton in return games, plus find some other results to say the least.

Its a 5% chance. Which is 5% better than it was.

I think it's extremely unlikely, obviously have to beat Leicester to have any chance. Even with that were probably still more likely to be Steve McQueen rather than James Coburn.
