Luckily there was no VAT or Rishi wouldn't have been able to go if things were that tightIncidentally, 31 years ago his parents were paying over £8k a term for his school. At that time Sky was about £20 a month.
The OBR was a terrible idea based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how govt spending works. Or worse: Osborne knew exactly what he was doing.
