2023/24 Season Fixtures

Our owners are a bunch of arseholes, ticket prices are ridicuIous, I probably wouldn't care if half the team left and I'm still not entirely convinced by the manager (who may or may not want to be here anyway).
1) Agreed, most of them are though at most clubs
2) Agreed, though I still pay it, maybe I'm the idiot here
3) Agreed, I think this most years though, there are always players I can't stand
4) I do rate the manager and think he'll be here, that's the key driver at this level

I think we've drifted into being one of those teams that probably shouldn't go down (let's face it, we should finish above three of Burnley, Sheff Utd, Luton, Everton, Forest and Bournemouth) but probably aren't good enough to challenge for Europe or win a cup. Which means you just kind of exist and it feels a bit pointless. Despite it being a status you'd have killed for not long ago.

I wish our fans had enjoyed the Nuno era more. Instead they were forever pissing and moaning about nothing.

I remember there were several occasions during the Nuno era (particularly after the Man Utd cup win and during our Europa League adventures) where I was desperately trying to enjoy it but couldn't help thinking 'what if this is the best it's ever going to get?'

I think there is some part of my personality that doesn't allow me to completely enjoy good things when they happen 😆

7th,7th,13th,10th,13th if you’d offered those finishes the day we re-entered the PL I’d have been more than happy.
Ideally the progression would be the other way around.
I think we’re in a bit of the no man’s land in the PL now along with a few others.
Problem with the Nuno era and first 2 seasons is people thought it was just the start.

It should have just been the start. On a whole the squad changes since have been horrific.

We were never anchoring ourselves into European spots, that just doesn't happen unless you get a City/Newcastle type takeover (we'll see on the latter next season, I don't actually think they're that good at the moment).

We have fucked up but if people got giddy then that's their own fault.

Nah could easily type that out on a word document

I always make sure to hold my embargoed documents open and at the perfect angle for a candid camera to snap perfectly legible pictures.

Information Security 101.

Good points friend.

I think its all well and good to continue to stay in the Prem and at the end of the day that is obviously important. But if you coninue to be happy or at least content with finishing midtable every single season, all becomes a bit stagnant and boring. I really thought we were gonna push on a couple seasons ago, but hasn't happened and that is 100 percent down to the owners and our overall, crap transfer busines

I don't foresee us being in a relegation battle this season, will have too much for that, but don't exactly seeing us battling for Europe either.

I didn't foresee Villa and Brighton both making Europe, but hats off to them. Are their squads tons better than ours? No, but they do have a better set up from top to bottom which got them over the hump. We shall see what this season brings.

As far as the fixtures releases go lol, always an exciting time.

I’m happy to see us mid table but hope we can get things right and challenge for Europe. The lower leagues are littered with teams that had spells in mid table in PL and now can only dream of attaining such dizzy heights again. With Newcastle creating a Sky Seven staying clear of relegation is the priority and top half the aim with a fair wind. So long as we play some decent football at times and bloody the noses of a few of the so-called big boys I’ll be happy. Unless we hit the jackpot in the transfer market or with wealthy owners top seven again is going to be a stretch.
