1st Game of the Season

We don't want away fans in the pubs thanks, they're far too busy as it is.

They are, and it does raise a ponderable question. Last time we were top flight there was a decent amount of pub space for sensible well-behaved away fans. There clearly won't be any more. We need more bar space open within the City somehow as getting a pint is going to get seriously challenging, especially if we expand ground capacity.

Two big possibilities:

- What used to be O'Neill's, next to the Moon
- That building on Lichfield Street on the corner, opposite Boho, that's been empty for at least 10 years

Not sure the appetite is there though for someone to launch a pub to get an income 19/365 days.

Away fans get put in the Blue Brick these days, but I think most choose to stop in Brum and come in late.

I'm also thinking about home fan capacity. It is pretty rammed now for us.

My uncle is a season ticket holder at Old Trafford, so that is me sorted. I think the good lady may have to go shopping in Manchester though...

Extremely shut. Which is a vowel from correctly giving a review of the place when the doors were open.

Back in the day sending away fans to the Albert was a hobby. Especially to a bunch of fuckwit Brizzle City fans who polluted the train I was on before I lived here. I told them the place was excellent.

How cruel.

The Albert used to be a hole, then it was nice but still populated by pondlife.

It's been a while since I've been to wolvo but are there any nightlcubs who could open their bars up on matchday?

Just realised that Everton at home was my pick. \0/

Some small recompense for Switzerland and Australia in the sweep.

Gutted to miss the Everton game. From our previous top flight stints I remember their fans being excellent in the pubs - good , knowledgeable fanbase.

Did you get a season ticket in the end, mate? If you’re away for the Everton game, could I step in your shoes for the day or have you given the ticket away already? (Chancing my arm here)

There was talk of opening that place 7/8 years ago but there's literally no floor in places, it's a shell of a building and would need crazy money spending on it.

Is the old Revolution still empty? That like O'Neils wouldn't need much to get it ready. If I was the Great Western I'd look to apply to the council to put a semi permanent shelter up on Bailey Street or the car park similar to the one at the Witton Arms. Not sure the gaffer there is that forward thinking though.

Certainly did renew. I haven't passed the ticket on yet so you should be able to have it. Of course, if Sky move the fixture to Sunday or Monday I would be able to go myself, but I think that is unlikely.

Excellent, thanks a million mate xx
