What blows my mind is the idea of O'Neil being first choice.
He could go on to be a genius and have a hugely successful coaching career, who knows, but at this point in time he has barely any managerial experience (I haven't checked for definite, is it about 30-35 games?) and zero gravitas...
Sorry to hear that, DW. I genuinely think your writing is outstanding and always enjoy your OW pieces.
Look after yourself! And hope you have some good support around you if you are going through a difficult time again. Don't be afraid to reach out to people when needed.
This was suggested last week and noticed it hadn't happened yet. A dedicated place to stick stats, analysis, plots and whatnot you've seen on Twitter or r/soccer or wherever. Or YoungWolf's blogs! Like this one:

I guess you mean I've missed people lamenting the lack of Jonny? I have to take breaks from reading this forum for my sanity ;) I'd noticed a few general "we're bad cos of injuries" things, but can't remember seeing Jonny being the first one mentioned!
Edit: Ah, saw the edit. Fair point. I...
Been thinking the same thing recently, 352 again, with Neto playing something similar to the Jota-like role alongside Raul (Willian for now).
Looking forward to Jonny being back. Think it is a bit understated quite how much we've missed him this season, even before the recent awfulness.
Just in the interests of discussion, in what way do you feel he looked out of his depth?
Thought Otasowie did well. Nothing spectacular, but aside from a couple of misplaced passes and one moment of hesitation between him and Semedo re: defensive positioning I thought he was fine. Really...
It reminded me a lot of the penalty last year against City.
Donk stands on Mahrez's toes, who then exaggerates the fall a bit (a lot, actually, now I've just rewatched the clip - way more than Adama did 😅) Ref says no, but VAR checks and deems it a penalty. If that one is, then so is the Adama...
Agree, exactly this. It is causing so much frustration and disappointment with the combo of not actually doing its job to fix errors, while also detracting from the game in other ways.
At the start, I was totally on board with VAR. Loved the idea of ruling out those horrible mistakes that can happen if the officials missed something.
Over time, in reality, it has just been awful. Slowly sapped away the excitement. I've found I barely celebrate any Wolves goal these days...
The official update for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. My heart goes out to him and his family, hoping he can make a full recovery.
“Raul is comfortable following an operation last night, which he underwent in a London hospital. He has since seen his partner Daniela and is now resting. He will...
Raul update.

Hoping Sanderson will now get some game time at Sunderland with a change in manager. Must be so incredibly frustrating for him to get plenty of praise and experience in the Champ last season, then find himself warming the bench in L1.
No worries, no harm done! Probably totally fine to leave it up behind a spoiler - just pop a quick heads up about what it is on there for people so they have the option to avoid it :)
Might be worth editing that to warn people it is of the Raul incident - really didn't want to see the moment of impact in close-up. I opened it thinking it was gonna be the Adama booking.
