His positive periods have always relied on individual performances, not the collective. Hwang looking like a footballer for 2 months, Neto recovering his form, Cunha scoring worldies. You can praise him for coaching those good moments out of them, but it's not a sustainable way to consistently...
The manager who is doing his best and who couldn't be realistically improved upon, doesn't pick 2 of the 6 players you highlight as being of really good quality. Seems something of a contradiction to me.

In today's current iteration of the laws it's offside. In my world it shouldn't be though and not a cat in hells chance it ever would have been pre VAR or anyone would have even mentioned it
