Wolves v Manchester Utd. 08/12 Build up and match thread

I get back from work around 7pm tomorrow so have two United supporting mates coming down from my old stomping ground, Leamington, to have a couple of festive pints & to watch this with me.

They keep messaging saying “it’s United so guaranteed Wolves will get something”. It’s mad how many mates who support other PL teams that have said similar when we’ve played their sides - and it’s only until they watch us for 90 minutes that they realise how shite we really are.

Expecting the same tomorrow with a comfortable Utd win.

One slight shimmer of positivity - Utd have apparently struggled when they’ve come up against physicality. Considering that’s pretty much all we can offer, you never know!

Look on the bright side, if we win this, we’re only 10 points from safety 😍

Yeah my Utd fan mates are similar. I have actually gone Cunha as captain in FPL after seeing both our game and Utd's last games. As that felt like the most painful outcome, him being boo'd, scoring, apologising and then scoring a 2nd and then crying.

López won't play.

It'll be 3-5-2 with the 3rd central midfielder moving up to support two split strikers as it's been in every other Edwards game.

If he use the same player, the same tactic, and have the same result, only destroy the little confidence of the susbtitutes he have.

That coach are close winter market and need view all player before take best decisións...

If he no have on mind view all player on the lineups, dont are thinking for all seasson, only in this game.

He's a limited coach who will rely on consistency and tactical solidarity. We won't be aggressive, we'll be compact, cautious in possession and we'll target set pieces and counter attacks to pick up points.

It's going to be ugly, there's no pretending otherwise.

Counter attacking with no pace, what could possibly go wrong, again?!

Interview with Wolfe here:

Read that this morning and picked up on the fact that he is another criticising VP's training and also that he wasn't fit when he joined as he hadn't trained with his previous club as he wanted a move. No wonder we're deep in the shit

Yup, that smacks of weak mindset. If you need a manager to entirely motivate you to be in shape, when that is also a massive part of your job and competitive advantage to be in the best shape possible, then that isn't something I would be publicly saying.

Well I’ll be protesting this evening. X4. Shame I won’t be able to join the protest behind the Billy Wright as they haven’t discouraged the racist flags, so I’ll just vacate the seats. Sorry state of affairs.

Agree with you. Doesn't matter what profession, it's the same thing. Yes. most of them are in their 20s and probably don't get it yet BUT JEEZ, we are talking Premier League and he will expect to go to the World Cup. It's obviously a steep learning curve for all of them but they need to get serious and take responsibility before it's gone in a flash!
