Wolves History Thread

That one who I think scored a top bins screamer at noose lane is obviously the best coming straight outta vention.
Poor old ashma has to celebrate Paul Jones who played for Walsall, that bloke who does the tiny sculptures in the eye of a needle, and the boss of the royal academy of art
Tory Karl is yours too, I played against him as a kid

My Da played for Wolves Casuals in his 20s, he's Ashmore too

I’ve just deleted the post coz I’d got it way wrong,
Karl Henry,
Sean O’driscol,
Gary Williams villa player brother of Steve Williams Walsall player

Loved the E&S that season.

We were top being chased by Orient, Rotherham and Walsall and they doubted that we would go up.
Walsall, miles behind us...yep they are going up. No doubt.

'Hand gestures' :D

E&S were convinced for a while we'd need 110 points to go up

Same game when dean Smith said there was nothing between the sides just that Wolves were better in the defensive and attacking 3rds. So wolves were better Dean then.

That afternoon personified the phrase “can dish it out but can’t take it back”

I'm glad we were only there for one season but I bloody loved the League 1 campaign. Such a weird feeling knowing that if we scored first, we were very likely to win.

It was a bit boring after a while to be honest, there was zero jeopardy. Go 1-0 up at home and we will win (there's only one time we didn't, when Cov equalised late on). And no pride in winning the title in particular.

Never ever ever want to go down to that level again.

Oh god I don't want to go back there, but the novelty of knowing we were going to win was quite welcome after the preceding years.

Agree with @Langers.

After the misery of the previous two seasons to just see your team winning, bossing the opposition, bossing the division, it was great and brought some much needed enjoyment back in to supporting the team.

Had some great away days that season 😎
