He definitely played Costa through in the first half with a nice little first time pass around the corner but Costa cut inside, ran into trouble and ultimately did nothing with it.
Bonatini looked alright today in general play but he still doesn't appear to have that drive to get back into dangerous positions after he's dropped in to do the initial build up play, it's almost like he isn't that bothered about scoring goals, it's weird because a lot of the highlights from his time in Saudi made him look like more of a lazy goal hanger than anything else. I mean he's slow as a boat so there are times when he'd definitely get left behind by any of Cavaleiro, Costa or Jota if they're running through in the channel but more often than not it appears he's not even trying to go with them, he just dawdles along behind play hoping he'll be there or thereabouts for a cut back when they look to come back inside.

Where did I say he should be? Criticise him all you want but at least try to get your facts straight when you do so. He wasn't anything special today but he was better than he has been recently and linked play/created chances.
Anyway, who cares for god's sake. Let's not bitch over stupid things when there's a promotion to celebrate.

Pretty standard win in the end. Lovely finish by Benik for the 2nd to seal the win and a lovely ball through from Alf.
I thought overall Leo's contribution was much improved although he was dropping far too deep for my liking trying to make things happen. He still looks like his confidence is shot and I don't think there is any chance we will sign him permanently now.
Costa was brilliant and rightly MOTM.
