This is a win-win scenario. If we stay up it is the greatest of great escapes and Dingle watch goes into meltdown.

We get relegated and we're guaranteed at least one season without VAR, half and half scarves and plastics in the North Bank 👍

Once the game became end-to-end rather than us camping in our penalty box, it was thoroughly entertaining stuff. Deserved that, I think, and good to see Santi taking one for the team with one of the most blatant "professional fouls" you'll see for a long time. Plenty of times a Liverpool player would play dead after being tackled which the ref, thankfully, mostly didn't fall for. You just have to accept there's a dark side to the game and fight fire with fire.

Should be a tasty game on Friday.

Well that was very enjoyable, even when we were under the cosh for long periods
Perfect counter goal, Roddy is so good at that, brilliant finish considering he was being pushed away from goal and leaned on by a big galloot.
Bellegarde you get out of jail free there, so annoying, how often does do some really good work followed by a howler.
Andre's winner was hilarious, he really didn't want to hit that on his left but all other players were basically saying, fuck it I dont want it.
That last 15 minutes was genuinely exciting.

Win 7 draw 1 and we stay up. That will not happen. I think we’ll get close to going past the 25 point total.
I’d have snapped your hand off for this points total after we lost at Anfield on 27/12.
25 is our worst ever, I would like to think we can go past that now

Don't think we'll beat 2003/04's 33 but you never know

I know he's a bit High Performance Podcast but he does genuinely care

Tactically I think he's done really well lately in fairness to him
He managed to make the subs just in time.

After that the game opened back out and was actually just quite a fun game to watch

Have to give Edwards his due. Structure, game plan and players playing for him.
Got the subs just right tonight notwithstanding the fact Bellegarde cost us a goal and contributed nothing (straight swap for Angel Gomes basically).
João Gomes, André, Tchatchoua getting forwards when situation allows, that's noticeable.
Fairly solid back three (perm any three from five).

Brentford draw
West Ham draw
Leeds draw
Spurs win
Sunderland win
Brighton lose
Fulham win
Burnley win

Above is possible gets us to 31 points, more importantly carries big momentum going into next season.
Got more than enough to come above Burnley at least.
No humiliation is heading our way now.

Now that really IS the spirit!

I enjoyed that a lot. Quite a few things happened tonight that we've really not seen much of this season:

The players gave it everything
We defended really well (Bellegarde brain fart aside)
A daft error didn't ultimately cost us
Subs made at the right time changed the game
Seeing gold shirts sprinting forwards with several attacking options (took a while tonight, mind you!)
Players looking comfortable in possession
Players not panicking (Bellegarde brain fart aside)

Yes, it's far too late but we've been so miserable to watch for 95% of this wretched season - isn't it nice to have far more positives than negatives to talk about after a game?

Krejci definitely MOTM, but thought Joao was excellent, as was Santi and Tolu was great when he came on.

Well done, Wolves - it's lovely to have a bit of pride in the team again.

Sa was superb tonight, obviously caught by Salah's unorthodox finish aside. But him coming for crosses, the low save, his throws...really very good - the mad unhinged bastard.

It has been a while since he's done something truly awful.

*friday is soon though obviously.

Feels like I’ve spent my life watching Liverpool do that to us, so that was wonderful. And well done Edwards.

The more you look at that JRB pass for their goal the more remarkable it is. He’s picked a pass you can’t see even the second before he kicks it.

That game was pretty much Sa’s entire career in 90 minutes.

I wasn't happy on the goal but watching it back, I think it's more credit to Salah. The save before that was outstanding.

We all know he's a perfectly capable keeper when he isn't away with the fairies.
