I think we actually deserved it. We had to spoil a fair bit but I thought on the whole we were the better team.

Isn't it wild? And I'm still not sold on RE.

Even this squad can play. Fair play to Rob, whatever else he is, for getting the Villa match right; have to think winning a match against a top 5 side by multiple goals and getting the clean sheet will have done small miracles for morale. I cannot imagine what sitting on 0 or just 1 win (over a poor side) must have felt like.

We’re defending well and it’s keeping us in games to the point where taking the occasional chance that comes our way can make a huge difference. It’s what we need now but almost meaningless in terms of next season. Given our lack of forward options I’ll take it.

Caught the last twenty minutes, we looked pretty good again. Liverpool were wide open at the back but this is what happens when you stay in games of football against these teams, they aren't going to settle for a point. Its going to end up being too late but there is some positivity around the club again which will serve us well next season. We have a nucleus of players i hope will still be playing for us next season.....anything else is a bonus.
