Decent performance albeit against a mediocre team (though that's not always gone well)

Some decent performances - Boly was immense & the Jota/Jiminez partnership really works.

MoTM for me though is Conor Coady - the number of times that his anticipation & interceptions that killed of attacks were too many to count

Great dominant performance from minute 10 onwards. Never ever looked in trouble, should have scored more, and coasted to victory. A very welcome change against a bottom side.

MOTM - Jimenez nicks it from Vinagre for me. Mentions for Traore who had his best game in a Wolves shirt, and Jota who was great for 45 mins.

Also very impressed with the Saiss/Donk partnership. A combative, mobile and solid base for the front players. No issues whatsoever if they keep their place for Chelsea.

Well chuffed, didn't get to see any of this but sounds like we played well and maybe could have improved our goal difference a bit more.
Was quite surprised by the team sheet, was it more of a 4-3-3 with Bennet at right back?

Nope 3 5 2 with Traore and Vinagre wing backs

Fuck me, what an absolute jekyll and hyde performance from the huddersfield game. Brilliant. How do you go from zero chances to a dozen against better opponents.
Best performance from vinagre (my motm) and traore in a wolves shirt. Reaaally impressive from saiss and coady too, understated, no mistakes, beautiful. Raul and jota too obviously. Ruddy was solid although didnt have much to do.
Really liking this 3-4-1-2 formation with two proper defensive mids against defensive battler type teams, enoguh in the middle to win and hold possession, wide players to split them open and three players attacking centrally, brilliant. Only wish we tried that earlier for the huddersfield games but oh well. Very happy

Presume that Saiss will drop back to cover the Bennett position seeing as how he has a ban for a couple of League games now - don't think that that really hampers us though as Saiss has been solid when we have needed/used him this season.

Did Traore actually do some defending?
He was a body in the way, put it that way. I did see him win the ball once or twice, but fuck me was he a beast going forward once he had the ball. Hes so good in transition, one second theyre attacking at the edge of our box, five seconds later traore is deep in their half with three men on the ground and on his heels

Yes chased back well and earnt applause from Nuno for a sliding tackle. His first touch is further than I can kick a ball but today, he did well!

Vinagre was better both attack and defence. Forced two saves from Etheridge who was Cardiff's best player. 3 excellent saves. One worldy.

Bennett obviously wanted his birthday off (6th March) so his 10th booking let's him relax this week as he misses the next two.

The first goal was reminiscent of what we were doing in the Championship last season -then again Cardiff are a Championship side masquerading in the PL really so less surprising that we can do this v them

Pretty much literally the only negative (and it's a stretch to call it that) is we didn't score more. Could easily have been 4-5.

Bennett's a bit lucky but 2nd half he was never in trouble. Shame he's out but we knew it was coming.

Took a few minutes to settle but after that we looked fresh and lively, exactly what was missing the last few games. Not advocating we do this all the time but as others have said it should definitely be an option, if just to keep players fresh.

Changes will now depend on who we are playing & where we are (home or away) - Nuno is still learning how to manage this so there will still be errors - got it right today (last season he really didn't need to worry about that as we were better than everyone else - not always going to be the case this season)

Etheridge pulled out two world class saves, the first one to push it over the bar from Donk was very special.

Etheridge was their MoTM - without him they would have lost by at least 4 goals
