Wolves 0 Spurs 1 - Verdict Thread

Now on exactly 0.5 PPG which is an accurate representation of what we are. We can't attack and we can't defend. We set up in an ultra-defensive fashion and just hope to nick something, which to be honest is below what I would expect from a manager who we had to pay millions of pounds to recruit.

It's a horrible squad. They're all shit, or don't care, or both.

I'm going next week and I hope it's the last ever time I watch that carpet fitter wanker play a game of football. Fuck off Doherty.

it’s no surprise that this is the worst Wolves team ever on record is it when we can’t even beat the worst ever Spurs team at home?
I can’t wait for this season to end and we can sweep the whole lot of them out the door.

Manager and players a disgrace to the badge not going with my season ticket next week and takes a lot for me not to go. Spurs were crap today yet their keeper could have bought his picnic. Performance illustrated nicely with that useless cunt Hwang shanking the ball miles out of play with his first touch. Dreadful.

I mean its hard to defend the argument to not sack Edwards after that and the other recent games, but I look through the performances and just think I don't really know what he can do different.

That front 5 is an absolute disgrace and then regardelss of how good Joao Gomes is, he has zero passing range or creativity once he opens up some space.

Mane was in the game but largely dreadful.

Rodrigo Gomes was totally anonymous, there's a reason he doesnt play. Has he ever had a good game ffrom the start since he's been here?

Armstrong feeding off scraps but had a coulple of openings. Not quick, not strong. A poacher with no service.

Bueno and Lima zero threat. Tchatchoua is fucking terrible but there is that 0.1% chance he might do something. Still managed ro have his weekly 'is this guy actually a footballer moment'.

Tolu comes on to cause a bit of chaos but thats all it is. We try and recover the second ball from the chaos rather than genuine hold up play. But even that did fuck all after an inital 5 mins.

Spurs were dreadful but like plenty of others have ended up winning the game without actually doing anything. But other than 'keep it tight and try and pinch a goal', i really dont know of any of strategy with so many players out their depth, a completely unbalanced team and not a single player you can call a threat at this level (probably the level below too).

We need to sack Edwards and get someone in who knows what he needs to get the job done. I don’t think Edwards can do what’s required.
Yes the current squad are crap so get shut of them and source the type of players we’re going to need.

Having heard recently that we are interested in Dan Neil who has played about one full game this season and isn't even 10 stone, I slowly realised that when you add his 'mate' tiny Angel Gomes our former England U20 coach Rob Edwards is going to be doing some serious calling around the short lads he worked with at that time.
I suppose the Shyster was impressed by that at interview.

I couldn't really see what had happened for the goal as I was up the other end but when I saw that gormless prick stood still with his arm up in the air... I fucking knew.

Terrible game with nothing to get excited about. The most noise and applause was at half time when they displayed the names of all the Wolves fans that have died this season.

Molineux is dead. No anger, no reaction. The full time whistle was met with, well, nothing - just resignation. This lot have beaten it out of us.

We offered nothing apart from the Joao Gomes free kick near the end, they offered very little too but scored the inevitable goal.

3 games against relegation threatened sides in the past couple of weeks, lost all 3 and scored zero, absolutely pathetic.

I don't rate Edwards one bit and I feel very much like I did when Lambert was here, hoping desperately that he is sent packing as soon as the season is over. I hate this suggestion that he was brought in for next season as if he's some sort of Championship specialist (he isn't), that he has a free pass this season - he shouldn't have. What 'serious' club tolerates a new manager losing all of his first 8 games in charge or 3 wins in 24 games? It's unacceptable no matter how poor the squad is.

If he was intended for next season he should have come in then but instead he will be carrying several months of baggage into next season's crucial season. Get rid

Tbf there was no one left at the end.

What was the fucking Fosun flag about in the south bank too?

Jeff didn't bring him for next season...he got him because he thinks he is a generational head coach....he paid actual money for him.

The club flipped the narrative to next season as soon as Jeff fucked off.

Didn't go and won't go again this season. Watched it. We were about as good as at any point this season, not very good. It is hard to comprehend how a club in the Premier League for as long as we have been could assemble a squad so short on quality that it doesn't even compete.

Our back three consists of Doherty, who would struggle to get into a League of Ireland team, S Beuno who is a poor man's Gary Breen and Toti Gomes who we bought as a punt, shipped him off on loan when it became clear he wasn't the required standard and somehow ended up with him being a semi-regular in the Premier League.

Full backs who have no business playing in the Premier League, Lima may have something in future but miles off at the moment.

Gomes and Andre will play at the top level, but they are both limited in the same ways which makes us very one dimensional.

Armstrong, everyone loves a trier and he has a decent enough record below the Premier League...but I absolutely hate that he wears the number 9. He is such a meh footballer.

Mane. Also miles off for me at this level. Obviously talented, seems to have a decent attitude...but if he leaves Wolves he is going to get lost.

Rodrigo Gomes looks like he should be good. But isn't.

Edwards, I have no strong opinion. I dont think any manager would have turned this sorry squad around. He is going to have to pull up trees next season to convince anyone he is of the required standard. He reminds me too much if GON, everyone else thinks he is great because he is a/ British and b/ at Wolves who are hopeless.

I want Nuno back.

I didn't see any of the game - I went to see my daughter who was performing in Macbeth with her drama group.

Full of great performances by talented youngsters - a world away from the crap we've had to suffer from our team this season.

I just want the football season to end. It's been absolutely horrible.

Gutless losers the lot of them. Wouldn’t piss on any of them if they were on fire.

Just getting home. What even was that I just saw?

Wolves play football like I played tennis. I’d seen it on TV plenty, and was generally good at sport. So before the game started, and at various points during it, the casual observer might not spot that I had no business being on the court. Because I could stand in pretty much the right position, run about and mimic what actual tennis players I’d watched did. But because I had no technical ability I had absolutely zero idea how to hit a winner. In fact, I had no concept of how you’d go about threatening the opponent. So all I did was try and keep the ball in play and hope the opposition beat themselves. Every now and again I managed to win, and every time it was because the other guy got dragged down to my level and fell apart. They’d become so frustrated they were having to spend time on court with me they’d have some sort of breakdown and beat themselves. Good job too, as I couldn’t hit the ball past them. The height of my aspirations was keeping the ball in play and looking like a genuine players. Also, winning happened about one time in ten, because I was fundamentally shit at tennis. And no coach was around to tell me what to do.

That’s us now. With the perplexing difference that these guys have a whole team of full time coaches telling them how to do it. And, now you might never believe the next bit, but 7 days a week they’re practising. It’s like their actual job. Crazy I know.

Fck off Edwards. And take your regional radio breakfast DJ schtick with you.
