I agree with that, pick one...why would you even consider it, this is a nonsense poll and someone should close it.
Monday it's Boly, Tuesday it's Raul. wednesday it's Adama, thursday it's Doch..........stop this shit and support a whole team, as the team do.

Just an idle question to be asked during an international break, Pav. Nothing more, nothing less.

We're used to games every four days, we've got nowt now for ages.

That's more of a turnaround that Doc I reckon.

Voted for João in all three polls :)

Some of that is because Jota/Neves haven't been at their best (probably Raul in the league too, though he was lethal in the EL qualifiers and we actually needed that). But he has done well, by and large. As I said when we were discussing the Chelsea game, I wasn't blaming Adama for that silly amount of space down there. We got it wrong tactically and put him in a position where he couldn't cope, how could he. We showed yesterday how we can make it work in certain games, helps when Donck turns up.

I've never got any agenda against anyone, if they play well I say so, if they're crap I say so.

Moutinho is the best. Can pass, tackle, intercept because of his positional awareness, organise, get up and down despite being 33. If he had goals in his locker then he'd be up there with KDB as the best in the league.

Raul is our most important - the one we'd miss most with a season ending injury.

Jota my favourite. Love the way he gives it back

Ok you are bored ashitless like me, i buy that, but every week we have a different best player, a poll at this stage is past boredom for the int fortnight, and it only gives the numpties more space to spout.
your opinion , i value, a poll........... nah

I dunno, you could write a veritable manifesto with all of Dan's anti-Doherty rhetoric from pre-Nuno.

Adama's just sticks out more because it was more recent and there were some who argued against it.

Moutinho
Boly
Patrício
Jota
Raúl

So many choices right now

Didn't want to go with the 'herd' but Moutinho is the one really

To get his experience & quality for what we paid (& it's not that he wanted out and ran his contract down). For another club to let him go for £5m is unbelievable (that's what you pay for a promising League 1 player who might come good).

Doesn't hog the limelight, but just does his job to an exemplary standard time after time. Whatever age he is now really doesn't look as if he's running out of steam any time soon.

There were others I could easily have chosen, but he just makes me smile every time I watch him.

watching us win the champ, I genuinely never thought I'd see a better player than neves.
a season later, we're given moutinho to watch. And I couldn't say anyone else, simply because I think about 85-90% of games I've seen, I've come away expressing admiration for the influence he had on the game.

Boly, Jota, Neves are going to get better.
I also think a lot of people don't give Jonny the credit he is due either. He's a fucking seriously good player, and again, keeps improving.

Adding to the discussion of improving players, a la doherty, coady etc, I remain impressed by Ryan Bennetts development.

We're now seeing some aspects of Traores game improving. WTF can Nuno do with the talents of MGW, Neto, Giles, Jordao?

Moutinho is pure class, but so is Boly and Raul. The latter has looked jaded lately (hopefully finding his form again now) but was immense for most of last season. Hard to choose between three quite different players but a vote for Raul so no one feels left out!

Based on ability I would go Neves. He is 22. He hasn't shown his class enough in 2019. Moutinho has and is incredible. Raul does things I don't expect of a tall striker. He has some serious ability. Sitting Otamendi on his are being a case in point. If messi or Ronaldo had done that the internet breaks.

To me , ultimately is who always makes us look better when he plays or comes on. That's Moutinho.

Moutinho
Boly
Raul
Jota
Jonny

Based on our Premiership journey so far.
Jiminez, while not quite as good in the league so far this season has been fundamental to our success for 14 months, goals, assists, workrate, attitude, he has the lot. I'm also gunna cut him some slack this season for his lack of time off.
Wanted to put Rui but pfft, he's just a keeper......seriously though its hard to leave anyone out

Why did the move to Spurs never come off all those years ago ?

Think it was down to some paperwork not being submitted on time on deadline day

Yeah I think long term Neves could well top the charts, think he's suffered a bit with perception due to his change of role since the Champ

Jota has a higher ceiling than Neves IMO.

Although Neves might be more valuable to serious top end teams as there are fewer of his type around.

If Mouts had gone to Tottenham or Everton o
I think we'd be talking about one of the Premier League all time greats.

I don't know if anybody else has but a few times I've seen him go in for an interception and thought "oh no" and then seconds later he emerges with the ball. There was one at City away last season he had no right to win.

Boly is a special defender though. I loved Lescott but I think Boly pushes him all the way.

Unfortunately the likes of Murray, Lescott, Curle and Bully didn't play for Wolves in the PL so although you can have an opinion you can't say with certainty what would have happened.

Lescott at his best played in a 2 for the best side in the country alongside arguably the best centre half of the last decade. Boly plays in a 3 for a good PL side, I don't think you can even compare that, it's just different, although I think Jo would have been magnificent as LCH in this team
