£8 p/m for bt sport too.
Already got that. I added it for the last game we were on and it didn’t even activate til about four days later. £16p/m I think. Oh well.

Being a football every night person I always give Sky a call just before my current contract is set to expire and invariably get a cracking offer to stay.

We've just switched back to Virgin from sky. Got their fastest broadband, O2 sim with unlimited data (my son has taken this), Sky Sports, BT Sport, Sky Cinema, entertainment package, and a second box for my daughters room. £79 p/m for 18 months.

Sky wanted around £156 for similar, told them I was leaving and they offered me £150 p/m. Pisstakers.

Virgin will smash that when those 18 months are up!

Yep, it's annoying but if I have to switch back to sky again I will. All of them charge through the roof. They get away with it because there will be people out there who don't want rhe hassle of ringing around for deals and just accept the hikes

I just stripped the service down to basics after 18 months but upgraded the internet. I never watch the TV anyway.

That's exactly what deal I'm on. Be aware that the O2 and Virgin contracts are separate bills, and O2 will raise their prices mid contract and there's nothing you can do about it. They've already done it with me. Though mine runs out in December so hopefully I can negotiate a new deal without the unlimited SIM.

I know some of you disagree but in this day and age when we're all after HD tv and SUPER HD tvs I think only my wife can't tell the difference, so it grinds my gears when Sky say, 'we can save you €15 if we knock off your HD and just give you standard transmission....'
You charge €15 a fucking month for HD???

Problem for us is only VM have decent internet here, unless I want some shitty 40mb connection then they’ve got me forever.

Same. BT and Sky are shite compared to Gigabit internet.

I'd take the Sky box over the Virgin box every day of the week though for UI and useability.

Tbh we’ve just got freeview - periodically I’ll sign up to offers like above via sky go or the VM equivalent but freeview is good enough sport aside.

About £75pm when I looked the other day plus circa £450 set up. I'm with Airband (approx 15mbps normally) which is miles better than the landline (0.4mbps - honestly) and is 'only' £27pm. Unfortunate thing is I still need a landline as mobile signal is poor. Landline includes internet (laughable as it's not fit for purpose) and is now [a recently renegotiated] £28pm inc calls. Elon's deal doesn't guarrantee me a speed that I can test in advance and user feedback is poor in Shropshire

We've had a company called Zzooom dig up the whole town and put in full fibre. Got 6 months free, then £19.95 for 150gig broadband. Kept my sky tv as it's still got a few months left of my deal. Will be dropping down to a basic package unless they offer me a decent deal on Sky Sports

That’s what I’m waiting for, that said we only pay £35 for gigabit internet.
