Following on from the thread on Sky, I was just wondering what deals/subscriptions people have?
Currently, I have:

  • BT Broadband and BT TV box with BT Sport included - basic kit that you can't record stuff on
  • 1 month's Amazon Prime (trial - doubt I'll keep it, the video interface is shite)
  • 3 month's NOW TV Entertainment Package (very good - got a free code with my PS4)

I can't really afford Sky Sports, unfortunately, I'd love someone to release a broadband/TV package with no line rental required.

Thinking I might get Netflix once my NOW TV subscription runs out in October. What's it like these days?

Prime video is ace and with Prime you get prime music too which is OK. Not quite spotify standards but pretty good all the same.

For TV and broadband we have Virgin but pay £45pm for the large package which doesn't include any sports. A bit shit really and this'll be the last deal we have with them.

My NowTV 2 month pass ends in September and it's very good if a little limited (have enjoyed GoT, Billions and a few odd episodes of the Sopranos and there's plenty to watch).

No sport though, just to expensive.

Comhem(provider) packages: Viasat Gold + Viasat Sports HD package and Cmore Sports streaming package..broadband provider Bahnhof

All available in Stourbridge I believe...

Recently re-signed with Virgin for 12 months.

Was M TV, 100MB £57

Now M TV, 200MB, £52 and they waivered the price of the new TV box + Wifi hub (after a few long pauses from me advised by Martin money guy)

Not sure how good or bad that is.

We watch a lot of stuff on Netflix. Not the best selection of movies (though that has improved) but it has an excellent TV catalogue. We use it far more than Prime.

Edit: and worth it for Better Call Saul imo

Showbox and be done with it...

Saying that I do have my mate's Netflix and my Dad's Sky Go as well.

Showbox and streamcenter.tv as a paid sub. Golden

You cut the cord?

With Sky,

Everything ( broadband, phone, Q, Sports/movies) £65 for 18 months. Up to £118 at the end of the contract at which point leave/renegotiate.

That ain't bad. New customer or current?

New, we had it installed in May when we moved. Went to one of those counters in a shopping centre for info and ended up signing up there and then when we saw we could have it at that price for so long :)

Sky Variety/Boxsets + Sports all in HD - £35 p/m
BT Infinity 2 (76mb) + Line Rental - £35 p/m

So £70p/m for everything but Movies. Which would cost £4.50 p/m (50% off deal). But I have a Cineworld Unlimited Card for that.

Sky Broadband (10mb cause they don't do fibre where we are!) - £19
Netflix - £7 I think?

Also have Prime TV but that's from my brothers account and Real Debrid on Kodi but price depends on what package I buy.

Ive got Sky fibre unlimited & tv (Entertainment, documentaries, news and kids) for £41 a month

BT TV with BT sport and tinterweb for 40 quid a month. I also use Smoothstreams and Exodus. I had a fusion box but it was a bit iffy so I got rid.

I have Prime too but I've noticed not as much is free now and the music service has changed. Also most Prime items are more expensive so the delivery not as good value as it was.
