Tottenham Hotspur (A) 29.12.2018

The odds for a draw are more likely as I'm travelling with two mates who have a 100% record of watching Wolves draw.... They've only been to one Wolves game as they actually support spurs but that doesn't impact on the omens!

Dendonker starts. That's unexpected...

As does adama, cue numerous boring repetitive posts :)

Dendoncker coming in is absolutely shocking to me. Not in a bad way, but just wholly unexpected. Huge opportunity for him.

Well that's....unexpected (as it is for everyone, it seems)

Back to 3-4-3 then

Personally, I would have used Traore like we did against Arsenal (should we still be in the match)
Bloody tough game for Dendocker to make a first impression.

Drop our best player in the last game and keep in the fucking clockwork mouse / dog after a balloon*

*just for Tredders!

Well, it is certainly interesting!

Couple of surprises there - though if you are going to start Traore this is possibly one of the few games you can do it as we WILL have less possession & quick breaks will be our best chance

At least Cav & Raul are up top with him so they can play the game properly whilst he 'does his thing' which might work or might not

Given that we have another PL game in 4 days & the Cup 3 days after can see the need to rotate somewhat

Very surprised to see neither Saiss or Moutihno in the XI but also excited to finally see Dendoncker

Traore out wide is better than Traore upfront

Infinitely.

I can see some logic to that selection, especially with Cav in there. Bit unfortunate for MGW, but I am sure he stands a chance of an appearance later. The one that slightly confounds me is leaving out Moutinho.

Their attack of Alli/Eriksen/Kane & Son is imposing - hopefully Bennett/Coady/Boly & Patricio are fully awake this afternoon

I'm looking forward to this, I think Traore may well give Alderweireld and Davies a tough time. I'm looking forward to the Neves/ Dendoncker midfield as the Donk is more mobile than Saiss and Neves better than Winks.

I'd love us to get a 3-2 counter attacking win here as they did at our place. Hopefully Doc and Bennett don't get beaten by the smallest man on the pitch in the air again.

Can see us looking to play long raking balls out wide to Traore and Cav, as Dendoncker is just as good (with both feet) as Neves at doing that.
Hopefully Dendoncker can get some shooting opportunities too.
The last 2 matches would have knackered Saiss and Mouthino ran his legs off v Fulham and he's no spring chicken, that said, Traore looks knackered after 15 minutes some matches.
