Thinking about it a stage further in the hypothetical midfield 3 we could have had Neves, Tielemans and Goncalves.

A front three of Jimenez, Olmo and Neto / Hwang.

Why 'think' about things that haven't or won't happen? it's completely pointless and will drive you round the bend.

Hwang has a grand total of 0 Bundesliga goals since moving to Leipzig. I don't think we've missed out on one there.

Haven't read the article but a couple of points

Lets remember Tielemans is a fantastic player but was the same age as and as equally untried in the PL at the time of our supposed interest as Neves so I can see why Nuno might not have pulled the trigger.

Likewise, Tielemans joined Leicester in January 2019, we/Nuno may have already decided we needed to buy Raul at all costs by that point and allocated our budget on getting that done.

Its literally a managers job to make these decisions, sticking the boot in three years after the fact is classless from whichever snake told Percy.

Its all a bit "but Labour" for me.

In case anyone wants to read - it is paywalled, mind.

There's an item in there that, to paraphrase, suggests others in the club were annoyed they were not getting enough credit and/or Nuno was getting too much.

Considering the senior staff on the football side has seen considerable turnover the last couple years it would suggest that is coming from Jeff himself. And if that's really the case, considering the shitshow he's been presiding over recently, someone needs a sharp word with him.
If he's precious about not getting the credit when things are going well he's going to find it very uncomfortable if we have a shit window and lose some games, especially on the back of the price rises.

I'm getting more pissed off with every passing day with the nonsense that's coming out at the minute. I don't think Fosun appreciate as great as Wolves fans are when it's good equally they can viscous when they turn. They are playing with fire here.

Yep some Wolves fans can be a bit thick and slow to pour out

Kane on the bench for them.

Moutinho/Neves again and Marcal ahead of RAN…

There's been a decent chunk of negativity towards Fosun/Jeff based on conjecture, articles and rumour, are we saying that doesn't apply when it's aimed at Nuno?

Will you accept the club are right if they bring in three players at fees that are far less than were being touted in July, or on loan players that have become available late on as their clubs have not been able to sell them?
Completely yes, but I am not at a stage where I am not worried until then.

Were fine last week for me.
They were, less so the week before against Celta Vigo. I think it’s clear he wants a midfielder anyway

I just hope we can press properly from the start.

I hope we can play properly from the start tbh....

Don't get the Marcal at wing back thing, I'm not sure he's much better defensively and offers nothing the other way

Moutinho and Neves were better than I expected they'd be last week (in terms of how the functioned as a pairing).

Semedo coming in should make us significantly more dangerous on that side. Will be interesting to see if he and Trincao have an understanding of each other's habits just yet.
