There goes Julen!

I've been arguing that Lop wouldn't be the first PL managerial casualty of the season.

Seems I was right.

Can't be the first managerial casualty of the season if the season hasn't started yet

I hope that Willie Hills don't use the same rules....

I think it started with the window where we spent all that money on Silva, Hoever, Semedo etc and continued from there.
Don't invest in the squad properly, Nuno sacked.
Don't invest in the squad properly, Lage sacked (shouldn't have been hired).
Don't invest in the squad properly, Lopetegui leaves.

If only there was a pattern to this. 🤔

  • FFP not the issue and hasn't been post the Neves sale, it's Fosun wanting to recoup money
  • The line being trotted out by Keen that the losses are higher than anticipated and forecasts amended is bollocks, but sympathises as he's reporting what the club is telling him (Didn't mention him by name, but obvious that's who he was referring to with 'local media'
We've known all this since the start of the window. The club/fosun and their media have been taking the fans for utter idiots.

It’s a quote from the doctor in the Bells episode of Blackadder II with a minor modification

O'Neil is rubbish. He wouldn't even be the worst manager we've had in the last year though.

Irrelevant if he’s rubbish or not.

1. Not his fault he’s appointed

2. If the players aren’t going to listen to a manager, then says alot about them (especially a new manager)

3. If O’Neill is our next manager, surely we’d want him to succeed instead.

It’s a shit state of affairs, but ‘I’m not listening to another manager’ is abit ridiculous?

True. Off to bed, perchance to dream that this was all a load of bollocks and maybe wake up to find we aren’t going down this route.

I’m not hopeful my dreams will be answered

Before anybody answers, I know the answer is Jeff Shi.

How the ACTUAL FUCK can you go bring in £100m, probably only need to spend £40m of it, and then refuse even if it means going from Julen Lopetegui to Gary twatting O'Neil? Like what the fuck kind of cunt have you got to be to see that sequence of events happen under your fucking nose.

Gary O'Neil ffs. I'd rather have Moutinho as a player manager. Fuck, I'd rather have Jordan Graham as player manager. Absolute fucking shambles. An embarrassment. Get the fuck out.

If Lop stays, I will be wanting compensation from Fosun and Lop for lowering my life expectancy significantly

The conspiracy theorist in me says that Moutinho vamoosing out of the club the way he did directly coincides with Julen first hearing that financial plans had changed.

Why on earth one anyone not support the head coach (even if it's someone as uninspiring as O'Neil) and then say they hope the players ignore him??!

I get that things are shit, I agree that we're in a right mess, but seriously - surely you want any head coach of ours to succeed, even if everything points to the fact that he probably won't?

The internet is just weird.

I'm not happy with the club - they've priced me out of attending, they're letting the ground rot, they're fucking around with a total lack of planning, they're not investing in a squad that badly needs it etc etc but I'll always HOPE the guy in charge does a good job!!

BBC website

Things are developing at quickly at Molineux and it looks as though Wolves will soon be on the hunt for a new manager.

"Inevitable that Julen Lopetegui will leave Molineux. Currently in the final stages of reaching a resolution. Gary O’Neil, clear favourite to succeed him after impressing the Wolves hierarchy."
Give GON his due, quite impressive to charm Shi over a zoom call to China.

Yeah, spot on.

I thought Lage was an odious berk who had a CV that League One clubs would have rightly laughed out of the door, but I still wanted us to win and do our best.
