Player of the Season: Cunha

Goal of the Season: Sarabia vs Spurs

Top three games: Spurs (H), Chelsea (A), Everton (H)

Worst three games: Coventry (H), Brentford (H), BHA (H)

Three areas to prioritise in the summer (name specific targets if you like): CB - an organiser like Harwood-Belis, Striker - a Boniface type, LWB so we can release RAN into the front 3 and see his true potential. And a new defensive coach.

Three players to get rid of: Silva, Podence, Guedes - wankers. (Kilman and Doc the next two cabs off that rank)

Marks out of 10 for Gary O'Neil: 5, started badly got better when Burchnall was brought in, but is in a Lage-esque funk he's not shown any signs of how to get out of. Defensively abysmal, needs a new coach for that aspect of the game.

Instinctive predicted finish for 2024/25: 16th

I agree with everything except us ending 14th. I think we will do better than that.

Shockingly. Lage actually won slightly more points in the last 10 games of the 21/22 season than GON has in his last 10 games. Lage even won more points in the first 9 games of the 22/23 season before he was sacked! Shows how bad we have been.

Lage had Ruben Neves, Willy Boly, Joao Moutinho, etc etc etc.

And played football that I wouldn't subject Jake Humphrey or Ggreg Wallace to.

Goal: Sarabia V Spurs - and boy was it good :)

Top games: Spurs (home), Everton (home), Chelsea (away)

Worst games: Coventry, Palace, Bournemouth

Get rid of: Kilman - everything else is noise compared to the utterly weird decision we’ve made to hobble ourselves by building around him (to hold him up). I’ve even heard self-styled ‘tellers like it is’ saying we can’t demote him now, just think what it would do to his confidence. Good lord, why should Britain tremble with such ruthless decision makers walking the land?

GON: 6/10. Not going for a 0.5 I’ve rounded down, but fair to acknowledge he’s exceeded expectations and that’s easy to overlook now given the product served up for a few months (yes, months for me).

Instinctive prediction: 16th. A lot of trepidation about our recruitment ‘strategy’ for me. Not a great fan of the ‘desperate to be here, manager can work with him’ noises. I’d rather we settled on, ‘could be a game changer, possesses real quality, takes us forward’.
