He played vs Derby in the League Cup and looked atrocious. I think he's just had it, similar to Ashley Williams who looks just as bad in the Champ as he did last year for Everton.

Atletico Madrid are unlikely to renew the contract of Filipe Luis, 33, the Brazil and former Chelsea left-back. (Marca)

Decent keeper as well.

Looking likely that the new owners struck a deal with the EFL

Yeah, they must have. It's going to be interesting when the accounts get submitted - I'd imagine other clubs will want to know what they did

Would say it’s fair enough though. Not sure what the logic behind not allowing it is

I'd be a bit miffed if my team ended up going down and the team who finished 17th was half-borrowed from other clubs within the same league.

Plus at stages it was felt that it was distorting competition too much, Chelsea for instance would loan out half a dozen players within the PL, none of them could play against Chelsea but they were available against all their rivals.

Cardiff do have money anyway, players don't join them for reasons other than that.

He can still sign one more English player. What's he going on about?

If anything, he's made a good argument for reducing the number of foreign loans allowed. If you're in the premier league, you shouldn't be reliant on loans. Cardiff aren't broke.

Apparently spurs want max Aaron’s from Norwich for £15m - would be happy if we went for him

Doucoure off to PSG for £45m, apparently.

Arsenal signing Cahill on loan.

They'd have been better off wheeling Mertsacker out of retirement.

I think it's purely because he's cheap and available right now with no fuss.

Lichtsteiner looked a liability when they used him the other day.

Almost as bizare as Nikola Zigic going back to Brum

Cahill will surely never leave the bench for them unless they get wrecked with injuries, I'd think.

And I am sure he earns 3 magic beans a week. Chelsea laughing all the way to the bank on this one.
