Love camping and love Norway.
Don't get to go camping very often these days, missus hates it, she did it when we had no option (money and kids) but nowadays she wants a hotel or cottage minimum.
Norway is expensive but its just so nice, don't bother with alcohol much when I'm there.

People who go camping need their head looking at tbf.

How does that make any sense? "Yeah, I think I'll sleep outside. And buy equipment that even if I did this 10 times over, wouldn't pay for itself".

Not a chance, I have no idea how it's even a thing. Humans live indoors for a good reason.

I may have mentioned once or twice that I've done a bit of bike touring, camping is the cheapest way of accommodation over a 6 month tour, I've camped in some fantastic spots, alongside the Baltic in Estonia, medieval forest on the Poland Belarus border, fields in the Ukraine where you could see for miles, alongside the Danube in Moldova,
Also camped in some awful places, lorry park/ lay by opposite a brothel ( neon signed as a Chinese takeaway) in Latvia, bus shelters in Poland and Ukraine, woods in Romania where I didn't realise until much later(when I couldn't be arsed to move) that Roma gypsies were also in the woods in shacks, literal side of the road in transnistra when I didn't know I was actually there(I'd shambled into the place, having forgotten it existed) and it carried a fine and prison if discovered!
Will admit it's no fun in consecutive wet days, but neither is cycle touring, but I'm quite happy with my tent a great view and a cuppa

I downloaded Duolingo the other day through boredom and now wish in hindsight I’d done it a year ago at the start of lockdown. I may have achieved something in the last year if I had.

It was plenty warm enough to swim in Oslo fjord when I was there.
On most Norwegian campsites if canvas isn't for you, you can hire a hytter for the night which is basically a garden shed with bunk beds, but comfy enough

Got a cheque for £50 from HSBC this morning. I haven't had an account with them for years but apparently they're handing cheques of up to £100 out like candy as they've reviewed how they're communicated with customers in the past.

Stands a chance something will pop through your door. I'd love to know what they think may have upset me as I only had a current account, an overdraft I never used and didn't borrow from them. Maybe I complained about something? Who knows, who cares?!?!?
