He's 33 during the course of next season. We won't even look at that with having no re-sale value

I remember when we signed Leon from Coventry despite them having Wilson, who was clearly a far better option.

Pretty sure he was injured then though as well which sums up his career really. Goals followed by months on the treatment table, if it were the 1990's then he'd have definitely been a player we'd have signed.

Yep, in Jan 2014 we needed someone there and then as we'd shipped out 3 first team strikers, Wilson was no use to us as he wasn't fit.

Doesn't excuse signing Leon of course.

Newcastle will do well to get half of £25m for him now.

I agree with most arguments against signing him. He'll still score double digit goals for whoever does get him. And he'd still be a better option than Che Adams who is absolute shit.
