Yep

So I reckon we'll be alright for the bottom two and then you generally back the Bundesliga team if you do happen to come 16th. Pretty rare the 2.Liga team has won since they brought that system in.

We've also now won more games than we did in the entire season when I first got involved.



Cottbus are now in 3.Liga but were even a league lower last season, Regionalliga Nordost (the regional variant of what we saw at Norderstedt @Kenny ).

Rostock are there too.

Nürnberg went down to 2.Liga in 2019 and have never come anywhere near challenging for promotion since, basically a German Stoke.

Effectively 7 points clear of 16th and 9 clear of 17th now.

Augsburg grabbed a late equaliser at Millerntor to prevent it being a Saturday double for me.

Still though, on 21 points we're now as close to Gladbach in 7th as we are to Kiel in 17th.

CLT kicked off the MLS season away to Seattle on Saturday; generally outplayed which was a bit disappointing, but with ex-Ludogorets GK and reigning MLS GKotY Kristijan Kahlina continuing his excellent form, we hung around and managed to force a late (and calamitous) OG, leaving with a 2-2 draw.

Zaha didn’t play, some sort of personal issue. Hopefully not an omen that his bluster after signing was just that: bluster. Seattle are good but we need more in attack; you can’t often rely on scoring more goals than you have shots on target!

And in other MLS news, Messi should be disciplined for haranguing the ref after the final whistle and pinching the neck of an opposing coach. Once an Argentinian, always an Argentinian.

@Lycan I think Abada needs a move back to Europe. Good footballer and I really like him, but he’s never looked comfortable on turf and I think he’s being sold short by Dean Smith’s turtle tactics.

Meanwhile, CLT are up 2-0 against Atlanta with an hour gone; Zaha anonymous first half but with a goal and assist inside 10 minutes of the second.

And 2-0 it ends! We've been so hard to beat at home under Smith, so fair play there.

Love to get one over on Atlanta. We ride our luck defensively sometimes, it feels, but we kept Latte Lath pretty quiet which seemed unlikely after how well he played last week against Montréal.

Addendum: Zaha seems a wretched interview! For as flamboyant as he is during a match, he's a PR robot just after!

He did admit that he badly scuffed his goal, which I can appreciate. Not sure what Guzan was doing on that one.
