Morocco also looked ok for a spell yesterday.

Nigeria and Saudi Arabia are the only teams so far to have zero redeeming features.

Their finishing was indeed shocking but I think they have been one of the better teams in the tournament so far! A fairly low bar from what we have seen so far of course.

Reminds me of some of our pre-Christmas L1 games. We weren't very good but that touch of quality here and there will mean you win by default quite often so long as you stay switched on and organised. The opposition are simply dreadful and pack less punch than an Amish convention.

I actually think Nigeria are a worse spectacle than Saudi Arabia, at least the latter are a zero profile team with a history of getting battered because they're substandard and qualified from arguably the weakest (or joint weakest) of all the geographical sections. On paper at least Nigeria have some ok players, they're just a seriously crap team. They were diabolical at Wembley and they've been as bad tonight.

Same issue Cameroon had at the last World Cup. Manager took what talent was there and just totally squeezed all the joy out of it in a bid to be solid. Doesn't work AND looks shit.
