The NFL Thread

That still doesn't excuse throwing two interceptions in consecutive plays.

Not entirely but it does to an extent. Poor offensive line play is overlooked too often.

Didn't see any of it but feared the worst when I heard Bridgewater was out as well, plus the Packers looked very good last week. Hopefully Teddy back next week but only so much a QB can do if the protection isn't there I guess

Ready to call it in NOLA. Jairus Byrd down for the year now.
In summer camp, they were billing this team as the best Saints team of all time. I think the post-Hurricane Katrina Saints were a better team.
Hell, Steve Gleason would still be an upgrade in the secondary.

Jairus is out!? What with?

Slipped a disc picking up his big fat pay check? You seriously overpaid for Byrd, he dogged the 1st 6 weeks of last season with a fake foot injury simply because he didn’t like the fact that he got Franchise Tagged. Our safeties this year have been excellent and Byrd has not been missed at all.

And Toon goes wild as the Bills get the 2pt conversion to tie it up in the 4th after looking like facing a loss early in the game.

Pressure kick from Bailey. 30 in a row until that 53 yarder to win the game and he misses. Overtime then in Dallas.

Texans lose to a FG in overtime. Just checked the rules. A coin toss to determine possession seems like deciding the game relying mainly on pure luck to me?

Great 58yd FG to win it for the Bills. Great turnaround.

Loads of tight games this week. Cleveland FFS!

Toon will be pleased, 58 yard FG to go 17-14 with 4 seconds left

 Saints

NO wins.

How come the comms said a FG would only have put them in the lead and not win them the game? Dallas won in OT with a FG.

Texans must have possessed the ball first. The rule (which is a stupid one) says that if the first team to possess the ball scores a TD, the game is over. If they score a FG, then the other team gets the ball. If the 2nd team scores a FG to tie it again., then the next score after that wins. It's all very convoluted.

I see. Cheers.

I don't see why possession just doesn't continue from whoever had it in 4th quarter. Basically just a time extension in essence. Should be first TD wins in OT too, and a FG not count.

I say they go to college rules. Get the ball at the opposing 25yd line, both teams get a chance to score. I'd add the rules that there are no FGs allowed and teams must go for 2 point conversions rather than PATs.

14-0 down in the 1st quarter against the number 1 ranked defense things looked a little bleak to say the least. In the 2nd half Kyle Orton and the Bills defense were spectacular and the Sammy Watkins catch to set up the winning FG was incredible. I didn't think he'd make the 58 yarder I have to be honest, but that was a great team victory. The Bills defense is special I have to say. Hopefully they can destroy Tom Brady and the Cheatriots next week, it is my birthday so I deserve a nice gift...

I don't follow NFL but my boss keeps calling me Ryan Fitzpatrick. Apparently it's to do with my beard.

There were some great plays in the Redskins Seahawks game the other night, couple of brilliant deep catches by DeSean Jackson from great throws by Cousins. Seahawks look pretty formidable still though
