The Music Thread Strikes Back

Astronomy Dominé from The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Its also 1st track on Ummagumma if we're including live albums.
Or how about Let's Go Crazy from Purple Rain.

Going back to the Anthrax gig a moment, I wanted to give a shout out for the support, who were a new band for me. Alien Weaponry. 3 Maori Kiwis combining something akin to Lamb of God, Machine Head or Dark Angel with heavy maori influences and a lot of the lyrics in the maori language. Entering the stage to a thrash metal haka was something to behold. Fucking good young band and heavier than a concrete nosebleed, which takes some doing as a three piece.

its a silly question as its just personal choice but i'd pick bone machine - pixies as its a best representation of the whole of their output as well as being a great track. though how about
the cutter - e&tb
neat neat neat - the damned
the concept - tfc
fade into you - mazzy star
teenage riot - sonic youth
i can't escape myself - the sound

i liked the head like a hole suggestion the best

1/4 Dead - Rudimentary Peni ( from Death Church, coincidentally the greatest album ever recorded)

Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing - Discharge (from the album of the same name)

Evolved As One - Napalm Death (from From Enslavement To Obliteration)

Light - KMFDM (from Angst)

i think death church was re-released quite recently as i had it in a basket somewhere. either it sold out or i didnt have the dosh at the time (or couldn't justify a purchase!) i've heard some great tracks from RP anyway.

Difficult as so subjective and changes all the time and does it get weighted by how the album as a whole is rated?

From iconic albums

Wouldn't it be nice / Pet Sounds
Come Together / Abbey Road
Purple Haze / Are you experienced?

From my personal listening, one of

Brighton Rock / Sheer Heart Attack
I Wanna Be Adored / TSR
Is There A Ghost / Cease to Begin
Check the Rhime / Low End Theory

Which is hardly narrowing it down, I know.

Yeah, Sealed Records are re-releasing all of the Rudimentary Peni back catalogue steadily.

I bought my copy first time round... but I've bought each re-release over the years.

Love that album, it's a masterpiece.
