The Music Thread Strikes Back

Nothing will happen this year theatre wise but if I see a gig for next year that I like I will book it.

If shit is still the same it will rearranged or I get my money back. If its allowed to go ahead then it means places/artists are happy its safe.

I refuse to live my life being worried or scared about the coming years. Booking things to do is a kind of a therapy now. If I accept my life will carry on with a constant fear then I might as well end it. (My personal view and not to be taken as me having a pop at how other folk will see and do things)

Both are good, small venues. Tickets will be affordable, but right now I just don't see the point in buying any tickets.
Will see how things look at christmas. However Baddiel was due as lockdown happened. Have gone full circle, as he rearranged it to october, and that's the only thing I still have in the diary for this year. Fully expect it to be postponed again, or even cancelled.

I can't see me choosing to attend an indoor event for a while.

Surprised no one has been setting up any form of outdoor shows. Possibly the fears about cramming at the front is an issue. Think just the tonic are setting up some outdoor comedy events over nottingham way.

Saw a few comedians had planned gigs at some outdoor venue in London, Regents Park maybe.
 
That's fair kenny. We keep having weird/contradictory conversations in our house, in that the longer we take to venture out and do stuff, the harder it'll be. Yet we're equally both still very reluctant to do much at all.

There's also the worry that things will be arranged for conflicting dates!
 
Load of comedians have been doing gigs where you sit in you car whilst they are on stage. A few the other week on Car Park in Brent Cross or somewhere like that.

Rearrange dates will also offer the chance of a refund, so conflicting dates issue gone there.

Just remembered I am due to see Suggs in October on one of his talking/singing shows. That is still showing as going ahead in Lichfield.
Got my Son tickets to see Jimmy Carr as well. That is still showing as going ahead for early October.

Both of them are not hapening, so just cancel/rearrange them.
 
I’ll be happier to book tickets once the football situation is known. Wolves comes first and it’s just my look I’d book a gig and it’ll clash. I’ve had it happen enough times pre covid.
 
Bloody hell, just found this on my library from iTunes,. Although I cant get at it as its dissapeared. I haven't listened to these for years, twas a good first album, second one not so much.....

Birds on Whizz? For me its one of those tunes that definitely sounded better as a memory, last time I heard it I turned it off as it sounded a right bloody racket (not sure if thats just a sign of getting old though)

Higher state of consciousness. Does sound a bit like actual birds on whizz to be fair.
 
It always reminds me of the Venue, Club Crush - dry ice that made your voice hoarse and cheap, cheap lager.

So yeah happy memories for me :)
 
Just watching the Joan Armatrading documentary on BBC4, really good. Always enjoyed her music......then realised, why the fuck don't I have a Joan Armatrading album, must put that right
