The Music Thread Strikes Back

Pretty Vacant - Sex Pistols
New Rose - The Damned
Something Better Change - The Stranglers
My Perfect Cousin - The Undertones
The Eton Rifles - The Jam
Alternative Ulster - Stiff Little Fingers
In a Big Country - Big Country
Babylons Burning - The Ruts
Into the Valley - The Skids
Orgasm Addict - The Buzzcocks
My era that.
I'd go:
New York - Sex Pistols
Clash City Rockers - The Clash
Something Better Change - Stranglers, (tempted to go 5 minutes).
Love and a Molotov Cocktail - The Flys
Tube station -The Jam
Alternative Ulster - SLF
Into The Valley -The Skids
Babylon's Burning - The Ruts
What Do I Get - The Buzzcocks.
Shot by Both Sides - Magazine.
Should really fit some Elvis Costello and Ian Dury in by rights.

I had a horrible snobby attitude to punk initially, I was very much a hard rock and prog fan boi. Eventually had a stern word with myself and actually started listening to it properly and learned to love it.

I Had zero interest in any music until I heard Pretty Vacant as a 13 year old. Blew my mind. Set a course of Pistols, The Clash and The Jam.
The latter being my main influence from that day forward.
Followed Weller and his influences/offshoots ever since.
Early days listening to John Peel every night on a giant 1950's radio my engineer Brother In Law had basically rebuilt from scratch as a project and given to me as a gift once his project was complete. Amazingly brilliant man. I digress
