The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2024/25

He should have been ours!

(Amorim Wolves manager, not Keef TWF Social Media Manager)

Yes

That wasn’t purely football related. They hated each other.

The crowd turned so he acted. Also allegedly the players had as well. The crowd haven’t vocally turned yet. “Gary O Neil’s barmy army still sung” but I actually think that’s more because we have no other songs… but Jeff doesn’t known that…

They think he will turn it round. He wil go if we don’t get 4 points from the next 2. Which may end up being too late.

The players were lost as far back as Brighton the previous season.

Lage then told them it's not me, my captain is working behind my back hence Coady, Saiss and Boly being expelled.

Only then did they realise Lage was was a fraud. There was footballing reasons to move Coady on but I think him being moved on and the manner of which he was, was exclusively 'political'

Day off from your role as Paddy Powers Social Media manager?
Yep, I’m going to play the victim card here, nobody else gets pulled up for nicking social media jokes and posting them, it’s so unfair, everybody hates me on here, everything I post gets pulled apart, everyone else gets away with it, why just me? Bet it’s because I’m not in the clique on here*

* sarcasm obviously.

Nuno set to be rewarded with a bumper new contract following his impressive start with Forest. Meanwhile, Sergio Conceicao is on the radar of several sides contemplating a change in the near future. Conceicao may be on West Ham's list of potential options to replace Lopetegui with several senior Hammers players not fully on board with the Spaniard. Everton boss Sean Dyche also under pressure from incoming new owner Dan Friedkin and Conceicao would be seen as a progressive appointment

On Forest i see its their owner who has nabbed Edu from Arsenal to be some sort of Sporting Director for the clubs he owns.

Not that I want him but Lampard would be an improvement on GON. I’d prefer him to Moyes.
No, he wouldn't. He'd be far worse. GON has an idea of what he wants to do even though it is seriously flawed. Lampard is absolutely useless and only got jobs because of his name.

Coventry sack Mark Robins

100% on all four of those. But especially Bristol City.
Football fans love statistical manipulation to suit their argument, but no matter how you do it with Bristol city and Cardiff they always look worst than most.
The other 2 love putting timelines on history to suit their point.

Bristol City and their four seasons in the top flight.

I think there's potential at Bristol City if they were plucked by a rich owner they've got a pretty big catchment area but the whole thing would be artificial and built on sand.

Bristol Rovers own a big chunk of the city. Everything the other side of the Severn is Newport / Cardiff. East it is Swindon territory and then Oxford. West is pretty open I suppose as Plymouth is fucking miles away. Same to the South. Exeter territory starts around Bridgwater I would guess.

And that is before we consider the mighty Romans of Bath who are of course the biggest and best team in the West Country bar none.*

*I may not be entirely serious with this sentence
