Hartlepool doing their manager searches via the medium of 90s Panini albums as they hand caretaker charge to Lennie Lawrence.

Only a caretaker in fairness. Probably while they’re working on the package to tempt Bruce Rioch permanently.

Steve Gritt waiting in the wings

Hartlepool doing their manager searches via the medium of 90s Panini albums as they hand caretaker charge to Lennie Lawrence.

Lawrence has been with 'pools since November 2022 as a non-exec director advising on footballing matters. Knows the club and the players. However he is well into his 70s IIRC.

Tony Mowbray emerging as a strong contender for Blues after initial talks

Blues fans getting a bit giddy about Mowbray's "great track record".

1 promotion from the Championship, 16 years ago, with a team he should have taken up a year earlier.

I mean he's better than Rooney but steady on.

It was always a bizarre move to get Rooney. Anyone who saw his DC teams should have been able to see that he is Pulis-lite at absolute best.

Rooney was never about managerial ability.
Considering they’ve sacked him I’d say it was a little bit about managerial ability.

But you’re right that they took the gamble on the name first.

They're probably scanning the Epstein list for their next candidate such is the shit show over there.

Its a safe bet and levels off the insanity of employing Rooney.

Very much like when Fosun employed Lambert.

Acknowledged they went crazy in employing someone who wasn't good enough, seeing relegation could actually happen and going for an unexciting manager.

Now expect their version of Nuno to arrive in May
