Strange things can happen. I can only hope City being out the league makes them even more determined to win. Having an away trip to Madrid midweek isn’t ideal though but as we know big clubs are used to this and is the norm.

They were in a slightly false position anyway. Leeds are the best team in the division by miles but West Brom had been very fortunate in several games already. They may well get second but I can see them in the play offs again.

Said it ages ago on here, but if the Boggies lost either of those loan pairings they would be in trouble....its happened and they are suffering.
Still, not a win in 7 games now is it? and they remain second, shows how shittingly uncompetitive the Championship is this year.

We have won once this year. We do get carried away when we play well . We win one game in 3. Thats us on target for 13 wins maximum and thats not enough for fith and a mile off fourth. Its even harder if we dont beat United this wekk who , I remind you , we have not won a game at old trafford in the last 11 attempts or since 1980 whichever floats your boat.

Sixth at best and hope for a Manchester win in the Carabao or fuck them over and win the europa league.

We are six points off fourth. Win at Old Trafford and the gap may start to close as Chelsea are at Leicester. Plus have a look at Chelsea’s last two games. Anfield, and then us.

Team who have spent majority of last 40 years in bottom three divisions are winless at team who have finished sixth or higher 35 times during the same time period.

Any other insights? If you score more goals than the opposition you win games, maybe?

That and various other incidents in the game genuinely made me think City had taken some envelopes. Woeful performance from them, Sterling was dreadful and United should be embarrassed not to capitalize on such an abject City performance.

Play like that in the final and Villa stand a chance
